I'm an IT guy, and I can monitor the local events and bandwidth with ease, so I'm 99.999% certain the problem lays with CM ... what the hell is going on there?

Unless you're volunteering, it's rather impolite to make complaints about a free site where most of the staff are volunteers.

If you have questions I would suggest asking one of the mods directly rather than posting it on a public forum.

Well, I don't own the site, but here would be My answer if I did.

Considering how little the place actually screws up, I doubt I'd be paying anyone as a full time position. Instead, I'd probably have a contractor for when shit actually "breaks". As it sits right now, I, as an independent observer, don't really consider it "broke".

Does it lag a little? I'd probably say yes. Does it really interfere with it's performance? Not so that it would interfere with what the advertisers are paying for.

Until the people who paid the bills had issues with it, I wouldn't spend the money on an unnecessary fix.

Hasn't been slow for me today, or to be more precise, any slower than usual. What are you seeing that makes you so certain there is a problem?
