My dogs are laying on their backs in the grass, with their legs sticking straight up and out in the pose I call "zombie dogs".

LillyBoPeep -> RE: My dog is - (10/15/2012 3:48:24 AM)

My dog WAS being a spectator for the cage cleaning ritual. Now he's flopped over on the floor again.

My dog is -

- obviously very sleepy but trying to stay awake because I'm awake. =p My tummy is angry from getting too hot overnight, and my dog is determined to keep me company. =p

Sweet little pal. :)

My dog is contemplating the meaning of life, pondering the various life forms on this planet and imagining what it would be like to have an exoskeleton . . . ok, ok . . . in reality it is dog vs lobster. The lobster won.

Dog vs cheeseburger. Dog wins, buns survive.

If you read this cartoon, make sure your bladder is empty first. I had to share!

Mushie is probably dragging something else of mine out into the back yard. I just today found my eye glasses.

Axle is probably laying out on the deck soaking up the sunshine.

My dog is stealing candy out of the trick-or-treat bowl and running out the pet-door with it.

I hope its not chocolate - chocolate is lethal to dogs.

I have 4 dogs this week - 2 of my own and 2 of my mother's.

My dogs are asleep, snuggling into each other. One of mother's dogs is staring at the other (the puppy) and wondering why she is peeing on the kitchen floor when the door to the garden is open. He may be waiting for her to have a poop in my shoe. Again.

sammi is getting ready for trick or treat and has her costume on . . . today we call her "head wound".

My dog is sleeping on my bed. I don't even have to look to know this.

Shininglight23 -> RE: My dog is - (10/31/2012 10:27:35 PM)

Norman (the beagle) is doing a really low..almost inaudible howl to be let into my room. When I let him in.. he will do the same thing... to be let out.

My dog is going back in time. I finally found the right food for him, and he has improved by leaps and bounds. He actually leaps and bounds now, instead of just shuffling along like an old man.

Yay! ♥

Duskypearls -> RE: My dog is - (11/2/2012 8:48:33 AM)

What kind of food, Lilly?

LadyRedRoseToo -> RE: My dog is - (11/2/2012 2:09:07 PM)

LillyBoPeep -> RE: My dog is - (11/2/2012 5:08:15 PM)

Duskypearls - it's a brand called Innova, specifically Senior Plus. Flipping great. I wish I'd found it earlier.

Before the slave and I were living together, she lived 90 miles away. She would come over on Monday (with her dog), stay the week and go to work on Friday spending the weekend at her house close to work. She has a great job with awesome benefits. She would drop the dog off with a dog sitter for the weekend because her schedule just allowed for working and sleeping with 12 and 14 hour shifts.

As time passed I grew fond of the dog and started keeping it for the weekends. In effect, the dog lived with me 24/7 and the slave came to visit us mon - fri. Prior to living with me, the dog was allowed in the Master bedroom and would sleep with the slave.

After a couple of months, my ex came to stay with me for 5 or 6 weeks before she moved up north and she brought an orange tabby cat named Garfield. Garfield is quite a character, more of a dog personality than a cat. The ex is quite a character too. She allowed sammi (the dog) in her room. The dog quickly capitalized on it and charmed her way into the bed, where Garfield the cat normally slept.

Garfield has been with other animals but he was always very dominant. The dog tried to dominate the cat but failed and vice versa. Eventually they made a truce and the dog charmed the cat too, they even played together. Things like chase me, hide & seek or boxing. It was quite funny to see the cat hide under couch and poke the unsuspecting dog. . . the orange paw sneaking out to swat the dog's tail. Well, they became good friends and soon my ex was sleeping with both of them in her bed at night.

Eventually the ex moved. A week or two later, it had come time for me and the slave to merge our lives (besides, the bed felt way to big without her on weekends). I own my own business and can work from anywhere so I moved to her place. We are fixing up her place to sell it and then get a new place in the city together. So the dog isn't allowed in master bedroom where she used to sleep. Now that I am here, the dog has no one to sleep with.

The slave also has 2 cats. Previously the dog and cats were friendly but they didn't play together very much. Garfield's influence made the dog realize cats can be a lot of fun. The dog's relationship with one cat changed and now they play together more frequently. They became better friends. Sure enough, the cat has been very accommodating in this new found level of friendship. Just recently, I started finding the cat and the dog sleeping together.
