Also knowing the school (which is for students kicked out of their original high school because of to many situations wither their conduct was inappropriate... )

And the teacher might have made the statements ( I really do believe its a LARGE fucking stretch that she said its like being a member of the KKK) Might have been trying to warn the poor little white girl, that when your in a school with students who are criminals.. you might not want to taunt them..

As opposed to yours with your image?

I'm fairly confident lookingfordufus (I read the article twice, just to make sure) but Yachtie's photo was nowhere to be found on any T shirt.

Whether political jazz is allowed at the school or not doesn't matter. The comments are wacky. I don't agree with Romney, but I wouldn't say he was remotely like the KKK unless he burned crosses and lynched black people.

I mean, being part of the KKK was pretty specific.

His religion has some pretty wacky ideas in regards to race.

Now I'm really curious....what specifically is racist about Mormonism?

Obama is no better. He apologizes for being half anything but black.
He's not bipartisan, he's for blacks only. I'm for all the colors...not for exclusionists like obama...he's no more race friendly than anyone in the kkk.
I'd rather follow charles barkley....at least you know where he stands.
Obama is a twisted liar at best.

He does bow nicely though, don't you think?

This is one where I have to give some historical reference to....Nixon did this with the Chinese Premier.

True.

From Wikipedia-

Lifting the Klan mask revealed a chaotic multitude of antiblack vigilante groups, disgruntled poor white farmers, wartime guerrilla bands, displaced Democratic politicians, illegal whiskey distillers, coercive moral reformers, sadists, rapists, white workmen fearful of black competition, employers trying to enforce labor discipline, common thieves, neighbors with decades-old grudges, and even a few freedmen and white Republicans who allied with Democratic whites or had criminal agendas of their own. Indeed, all they had in common, besides being overwhelmingly white, southern, and Democratic, was that they called themselves, or were called, Klansmen.[41]

The democrat of today is not that of yesteryear. Same for republican.

The Klan was started by 6 individuals who thought it a great hoot to ride around in that garb... they didnt even know they were scaring anyone at first. Once they found out, they took advantage of that fact.

First KKK
The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee, by six veterans of the Confederate Army.[15] The name is probably from the Greek word kuklos (κύκλος) which means circle, suggesting a circle or band of brothers.[16]

Birth of the Klan
Six college students founded the Ku Klux Klan between December 1865 and the summer of 1866 in the town of Pulaski, Tennessee. Former Confederate officers, the six young men organized as a social club or fraternity and spent their time in horseplay of various types, including wearing disguises and galloping about town after dark. They were surprised to learn that their nightly appearances were causing fear, particularly among former slaves in the area. They quickly took advantage of this effect and the group began a rapid expansion. Various factions formed in different towns, which led to a meeting in April 1867 to codify rules and organizational structure.

You mean, it was started by folks from the South?

(The Union Army of course, being led by President Lincoln....a Republican).

Noooooooooo.....those 6 guys wouldn't be Democrats.....golly sakes no.

Is there any more anti-semitic act than stealing dead Jews' souls for your crazy cult? I wonder exactly *why* Mitt Romney hasn't confirmed that he's stopped this heinous act.

Actually, Mitt Romney hasn't baptized any (dead) people...the Mormon church however, has.

Stealing would presume he or the Mormon church is housing their dead souls in a closet or a box somewhere, rather, they have given them "up to God", as is their religious beliefs.

Neither Romney or the Mormon church has a bunch of dead Jews in a box anywhere.

(I actually can't prove this...it's kind of a hunch....but I think it's a safe bet).

Wow. You make that claim in the light of Mitt's own admission. That takes some guts to just make shit up and pretend it's true.

But that might be said to characterize pretty much everything posted here by some.

When asked by NEWSWEEK if he has done baptisms for the dead .. he looked slightly startled and answered, "I have"

Well then, having not read the article, I stand corrected.

"In 1995, the Mormon Church agreed to discontinue proxy baptisms for Holocaust survivors.

Even so, this controversy never seems to die."

It appears that, having found this to be offensive to other faiths, they (and he) have stopped doing this.

On a related piece of news, the Catholic church, having found that fondling young males by Priests, has been found offensive to everyone on the planet, has recently decided to stop that practice.

Similarly, a thousand or so years ago, Christians throughout the world stopped riding into town in grand phalanxes with muscular horses beheading people of different faiths solely because they didn't believe as they did.

Except they haven't.

They baptized Obama's mother right after the 2008 election.

So since it's not anti-semetic, it's ok? Of course, your first assertion was that it didn't happen in the first place.

Of course, being a Jew, I hear this sort of stuff all the time. It's a very subtle implementation of anti-semitic beliefs.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from anyone how the Holocaust never happened yet.

I didn't say it was ok....and I didn't say it wasn't ok...I said they are doing what they, within their faith believe to be right and a good Christian thing.

It would appear that, once asked not to (as to Holocaust victims) they stopped.

Apparently they believe that Obama's Mama deserves a place in Heaven.

Their's.

Not yours....not mine.

It's none of my business.

I'm not a Jew so I'm not offended by it. It seems incredibly innocuous...a ceremony....but if 'm wrong and someone finds it offensive, if asked, they should stop.

Seems to me (I'm no Biblical scholar by anyone's measure) that being a Jew means their soul would already reside in Heaven so having someone else ensure that it actually made the trip is only a silly adjunct.

It would appear there is no evidence they haven't done exactly what they were asked to do....stop.

Seems to me (pardon the pun) a dead issue.
