Hi everybody, I wanted to ask advice for the proper forum to discuss specific methods or techniques that are used in certain BDSM activites? I looked at the list of forums, and do not see on that seems to address specific methods. By way of example, say a person wanted advice or other people's experiences on e.g. needle play.

I also read a number of posts here in the general BDSM discussion group. The tone of the discussions did not seem to go toward specific questions, and I did not want to offend anyone putting anything specific here without knowing if it was the right place. Any advice on the right forum is appreciated.

You're in the right spot. General BDSM discussion absolutely would be the area to discuss topping techniques.

Of course, it's really tough to convey topping techniques via a written forum. For one, I don't write up everything I know about needles, for example, just because people want the Reader's Digest Condensed version.

If you would like some advice, when you are asking questions about topping, try to be specific. There's no way to cover everything a person has learned about a specific topic over the last decade on a message board.

If you look up at the top right, you'll see a bunch of options including Search. Click on it and enter your search topic, and it will search all forums.

This is definitely the right section.

Frankly, I think that we don't spend enough time talking about techniques and personal experiences. Whenever people ask questions about this, they are often chastised for seeking "wank material".

Admittedly, there are people who do come here with just that goal in mind. But I think we've chased off more than a few people who were actually sincere in their quest for knowledge/information.
