DomYngBlk -> The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 4:56:21 AM)

In other news, Mitt Romney intially said that he wouldn't push for more restrictive laws to curb abortions.......

Just hours later he reversed course and said yes he would work to outlaw abortion and defund planned parenthood.....

Marc2b -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:08:57 AM)

It all depends upon which audience is being addressed.

Ol' Abe (I think it was him) told us that you can't fool all of the people all of the time but you can fool some of the people some of the time... and that's all you really need to do to get elected.

Lucylastic -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:12:03 AM)

Yep you could get away with it even ten years ago, now not so much, altho stupid people can ignore facts no matter how far you wanna go back

Hillwilliam -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:12:58 AM)

Maybe his nickname should be "Pinwheel" instead of Mitt.

It is not so much stupidity as it is willful blindness in order to maintain ideological purity. Remember, the number one attribute of an ideologue is that the ideology is NEVER wrong.

Lucylastic -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:18:20 AM)

wilful blindness is pretty similar to stupid tho :) in my very humble opinion

Not true. There is currently no existing legislation regarding abortion. Romney used the definition for "legislation" that is "the act or process of making laws."

"Legislation"
1. (Law) the act or process of making laws; enactment
2. (Law) the laws so made

quote:

“There’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda,” Romney said, according to the paper.

In other words, he answered truthfully and the reporter interpreted it the way she/he wanted. Romney answered the question beautifully. He is still true to his baby rights stance.

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:34:59 AM)

That doesn't even rise to the level of ultimate ineptitude for spin.

Arturas -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:35:35 AM)

...so who is the stupid one? Hey, if it smells like a shoe...

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:38:52 AM)

Unsurprisingly, I don't even find it even a bit curious that you argue with yourself.

Ha! He skillfully friggin played the reporter! I do like Romney even if just for that.

There it is again, when confronted by truth simply scream and whine "he's lying, he's lying mommy". "whaaaaa."

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:44:49 AM)

Well, we are not confronted with the truth, simply ignorantly knowing lies.

Please compare and constrast the actual quotes for us.

He skillfully shat his magic underpants, again.

You wish.

Don't you think babies have rights? Is there a war against babies here by the Obama Administration?

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:49:26 AM)

No, no war except in the feeblemindeds minds.  Like the asshat teabagger who wants to kill 8 year olds for disobedience.

No. If you don't understand his first statement then why complicate if for you.

"if it smells like a shoe..."

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 7:54:34 AM)

He said if it smells like a shoe?

Uh, your idea of complex is my idea of di minimus.

"feeblemindeds minds".

Okay, this is a waste of time. Listen, I hear K calling you from the Gorean 2nd life thread, he needs your help over there, seems he lost his home stone under a rock.

excuse. putting this back on track after all that noise.

mnottertail -> RE: The Flip-Flop of the day (10/11/2012 8:00:26 AM)

There’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda.

If he isn't familiar with it and running for President, do we need another St. Wrinklemeat?

I will advocate for and support a Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to protect unborn children who are capable of feeling pain from abortion."

And here he is familiar with some legislation, or he endorsed it with a St. Wrinklemeat alzheimers outlook.
