nobody has to be driving, it happened on a  main road or thoroughfare, such as a street, boulevard, or parkway, available to the public for use for travel or transportation. no doughnut for you.

And now you're an accident scene investigator, among other claims...[8|]

Uh, it would need to be reported so that an accident scene investigator could investigate.
And she didn't claim that she was an accident scene investigator.

I wonder what a cop would know about the law?

Prove the car was parked on the road or main thoroughfare. You're talking shit again...

quote:

For those not familiar, Glenn Beck’s daughter got married this past weekend in the Finger Lakes area of Upstate New York. Following the wedding, Beck experienced his “Father of the Bride” (as in the Steve Martin movie) moment when his SUV, which he’d parked at the top of a hill by his rented cottage, went sliding down a slippery hill and barrel-rolled several times. The vehicle, thankfully, had no one inside and as it rolled down the hill to the amazement of his wife and children, Beck just said “let it go.”

In fact, despite the amazing moment, Beck said his reaction was quite calm. “Well let’s go say our prayers, and go to bed,” he said he told his family as the mangled vehicle lay at the bottom of the hill. While most of the story was lighthearted, he later added that one of the members of his security detail thought Beck’s son was still in the car, ran into the vehicle as it was starting to slide, checked the SUV one last time, and escaped just as the vehicle began to tumble.

Where does it say the Ford was parked on the road? Or the hill was part of the main thoroughfare? As far as I can tell, Beck was parked on private property he rented.

Where does it say he drove it in the yard using his property, not connected to any public area, and it rolled down a grassy knoll on his own property without touching public property?

What a sleuth.

near the shoreline.................

All depends on the damage.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/glenn-becks-suv-was-totalled-this-weekend-and-we-have-the-pictures/

This wasnt a roll down the hill.

And now you're an accident scene investigator, among other claims...[8|]

Nope... just common sense. I said it depended on the damage... which is readily available from the NY DMV web site.

barrel-rolled several times.

Looks damn good for it to have barrel rolled.

mnottertail -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 1:35:29 PM)

Thats more than a buck or two, even at Maako.

tazzygirl -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 1:36:51 PM)

Yup.. but to me a barrel roll, several times, on that size suv would be a bit.. squashed

mnottertail -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 1:42:26 PM)

I believe the highest state requirement is $1500, lowest $100.  And it would exceed that.

tazzygirl -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 1:47:26 PM)

$1001.00 for NY.

~grins

I looked it up.

How much to replace the windshield in that barge?

tazzygirl -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 2:08:59 PM)

LOL

Thats the monetary damage requirement to report.

The pain job and windshield alone should cost that much.

That was my point. The windshield will run over 1500 and the paint ,not counting body work would run more than 5k. For a real policeman not to know this is not believable.

Beck is an ideologue and an ass, but let's not make shit up about him...

That's a symptom of hatred.

Have you listened to his show ?
Or Rush's ?
Hannity's ?
Their stock in trade is hate,it's what they sell .No surprise when it gets turned back around at them.

Make what up? He didnt report it according to the Sheriffs Department.

And that made me wonder

If he's going to pay out of pocket for repairs or a new car why the fuck would he call the cops?

"Hello 911?"

"What is your emergency Sir?"

"My SUV just slid down a mud hill and rolled over"

"Was anyone injured, do you need medical attention?"

"No, the SUV was empty"

"Did it do any damage to anyone else's vehicle or property?"

"I guess the grass got roughed up a bit."

"Call a tow truck...have a nice day Mr Beck"

Is 911 the only way in which a citizen can contact law enforcement ?
If only there were some,non-emergency method of contacting one's local law enforcement department [8|]
Perhaps greater minds than mine should see about developing such a system [:)]

farglebargle -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 4:35:41 PM)

Every police station I've ever seen has a non-emergency phone number published in the phone book.

You claim to be a cop but do not understand basic traffic law....why come?

You a cop? Attorney? Judge perhaps? Just asking. You know. Goose gander, pot kettle sort of thing.[;)]

Nah he's a so called disabled CIA/GI Joe Ninja/Internet Tough Guy, who talks a lot of shit, asks a lot of questions, and never answers any, or provides a source for his garbage.

So we can assume you are a.....what ?
Internet cop ?
or did you claim to be mall security ?

Wish I had thought of that [:D]

How do you know Beck's security didn't contact anyone? Wouldn't that be in the job description?

See, there's a lot of assumptions coming from your side, as usual you jump the gun without knowing the facts. *cough* Travon Martin *cough*

We don't know who was driving, if they were on private property, or if anyone in the security detail contacted anyone. we do however know that some photographer was there to take pictures after the fact, and that Beck made a statement.

slvemike4u -> RE: Glenn Beck's lack of Personal Responsibility. (10/11/2012 5:15:32 PM)

What gun did I jump ?
Show the post where I made any claim ?
Or jumped to any conclusions.
All I dis was demonstrate how ridiculous your whole feigned 911 conversation was by indicating ,thru sarcasm, that there is another way(other than 911) to contact the authorities.
As usual with you....utter fail.

The Seneca County Sheriff's Office says the accident wasn't reported to police in the county.

Well there you go again tazzy, you know that whole "bringing facts to the table"thing is frowned upon by the right wing folks here .[:)]
