ORIGINAL: Lucylastic Florida pastor Terry Jones denied entry into Canada A Florida pastor who burned copies of the Qur'an in April 2012 has been denied entry into Canada after being held up for several hours at the Detroit-Windsor border, a handler for the church confirmed to CTV News. Terry Jones was expected in Toronto Thursday evening to take part in a free speech debate with leaders from other faiths on the lawns of Queen's Park. The debate is expected to continue. Im sure the free speechers will hate this, the irony isnt lost tho:) Terry Jones has every right to free speech. That said, that is a US-protected right, and is not necessarily something Canada has to honor if they see things differently (and that can vary person-to-person, imo). And, I will also add, that the right to free speech doesn't mean you have the right to that speech wherever you want. No one has to provide someone with a forum for free speech to be protected. In the end, Terry Jones has the right to speak his mind. He also has the responsibility to the consequences of his words. Bravo, Canada! Bravo, le Canada!
