I thought the President said American Troops were leaving Afghanistan for good in 2014... Per the Administration #2 " "We are leaving in 2014, period, and in the process, we're going to be saving over the next 10 years another $800 billion," [vice President] Biden said. "We've been in this war for over a decade. The primary objective is almost completed. Now all we're doing is putting the Kabul government in a position to be able to maintain their own security. They may cease local hostilities, but I see no reason to give up the perch on Pakistan, when there are more to get.

Well... you have made it perfectly clear you back the expansion of the Executive Branch using war powers (as long as it's your Executive that it) This question was aimed more at the Peace Crowd.
