I am trying to put together a network of subs/slaves who live in my area. everyone says attend Munches but there is rarely ever anything out here in the suburbs. This region is great for activities but, because of traffic and parking problems, it is just not convenient to go into Baltimore city or Washington DC when you live in Howard, AA, SW Balto Co... Also, for those of us "older" folks or parents we could do earlier things like lunches, happy hours...

It is great to have an online community but I would like to have one or two "live" friends in this lifestyle.

Have you checked Fetlife to see what is available in your area? Many areas have groups that meet during the afternoon instead of evening.

I would suggest you research in Collarme to find those people you are seeking. Write to them and see what happens. Many never make it to the collarchat side.

OMG...seriously? There are TONS of munches in all of Maryland. Go to fetlife and look them up. I think you will find the list to be quite extensive.

I am the really shy type. A lot of the "non-party or play" things I would like to go to but I always chicken out..figure everybody knows each other... I would love to find other older female subs to go with (with subs I know they don't have an ulterior motives in being friendly). Also, I am over 40, a "soccer mom type" so I feel silly! If anyone knows of people who are involved, I would love to meet and tag along with them. I approached a few people (doms who I thought were just being nice) on here involved locally and was actually asked "what is in it for me"...

Well, search for those exact things in your area, female over 40 submissive, and strike up a convo with them here, and meet them for coffee and see if you guys can become friends and go to munches and whatnot.

Actually, I don't mean to cross post. I posted off topic because I wanted to start my own group but when people pointed out that there were enough locally to try, I looked them up & was intimidated. Should I have put this as a response on my initial post, saying I took the advice and now am trying to find people who will go to the planned stuff? I pretty much rely on these boards for my "lifestyle advice" so I don't mean to do anything wrong and will take any help (serious) that I can get. I don't know how to delete one of the postings so if you do, can you tell me so I can fix my mistake?

I did try to meet other local women from here but didn't get responses. I guess I can try to post on Fetlife...
