Even Jabba has more integrity than Mitt.

mastercreeker -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 12:55:09 AM)

Gee that is really funny.....as a male, my name was also in a couple of binders, heading resumes. Thank God for those binders, because in two different cases, whoever they were brought to decided to hire me. Another O bama campaign distraction......though the Clinton pic was great..... I miss the guy!!!!!!

farglebargle -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 3:12:25 AM)

Actually, it's a Romney campaign distraction. ‎"Governor Romney, pay equity for women?" asked Candy Crowley.

ROMNEY NEVER ANSWERED! He pivoted, and babbled on about how he didn't have any women advising him, and that the idea was so alien to the advisers he did have, that they ended up compiling the binders.

But the real tell in the exchange was this

ROMNEY: "if you're going to have women in the workforce that sometimes you need to be more flexible."

IF?

Women make up 50 percent of the workplace. And in his world they're optional.

This is so true. You put binders on women. Or, at least, I do. [:D]

farglebargle -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:21:01 AM)

CONSENTING women. That's the difference.

Women don't consent to get unequal pay. And I still want to know why Mitt Romney didn't answer the question directly put to him about that.

mastercreeker -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:26:47 AM)

Fargle old buddy, how come female WH staffers average $11,00/yr less than their male counterparts? And why did Mittens have a higher percentage of female staffers than any SITTING Dem governor. AND THIS WHOLE THING WOULD NOT HAVE COME UP, YOU OLD FOOL, IF THE WORD PORTFOLIO HAD BEEN SUBSTITUTED FOR BINDER. Geez, get a clue, will ya

DNAHelicase -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:37:35 AM)

FR

From one of the customer reviews: "man beef extraordinaire!" I think I have a new favorite phrase for describing attractive men.

Lucylastic -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:39:56 AM)

Congress decides the wages of administration staff
not the president
Bain Capital had zero women as partners...
And his attempt to "find" women was a lie...
get a clue will ya?

mastercreeker -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:54:28 AM)

So, Lucy you haven't seen the ads from his former FEMALE staffers, and under The Ledbetter law (signed and touted by Obama) it would be illegal for congress to have that type of pay structure in place, mind explaining that?

Lucylastic -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 5:56:29 AM)

And what has congress done to rectify it?
in fact, exactly WHAT has congress done to rectify the jobs situation, as a whole???
Are you denying congress decides on the situation?

mastercreeker -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 6:12:22 AM)

Nope, you make an excellent point, it is congress's thing to fix, there are 32 jobs bills that have passed the House but Reid won't bring them to the floor of the senate. Righting the pay wrong would in most probability be in a budget which Reid also won't bring up, except for O's 2 attempt which both failed with no support from either party. That is a violation in itself of federal law, which requires the Senate to pass a budget every year. Interesting enough, if in O's 2 budget attempts, he tried to fix the pay injustice, why wasn't it mentioned during the republican's war on women meme?

9except O's two attempts

Why didn't Mitt answer the question he was asked?

Lucylastic -> RE: Binders full of women (10/20/2012 6:28:07 AM)

Since 2010
They Blocked Obamas Jobs bill in 2011
They Blocked Wallstreet reform,
They Blocked AND defeated the Fair Pay act
They Blocked the Dream Act,
They Blocked the Anti Rape Amendment
They Blocked the Small Business Jobs Act not once but TWICE
They Blocked the repeal of Dont Ask Dont Tell numerous times then only with the support of 2 Repubs
They Blocked the Benefits for Homeless Vets
They Blocked the the Health care for 9/11 First Responders
They Blocked the Political Ad Disclosure Bull TWICE
They Blocked the Tax on companies that ship jobs overseas
They Blocked the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act(well attempted to)
They Blocked Oil Spill liability
They Blocked the Immigration reform
They voted 33 times to repeal the Affordable care act
Please dont ignore all those facts either
Actually it has been brought up about the fair pay injustice. but is ignored by most republican men as just being more "whitewash"

MSNBC, that bastion of liberal equality -

Brzezinski's colleague Andrea Mitchell made this point on air yesterday--that pay disparity exists at MSNBC. Politico reports:

During an interview Thursday, Mitt Romney senior adviser Barbara Comstock told Andrea Mitchell that “we know here at MSNBC the guys get paid more" — and the MSNBC host replied, “We certainly do.”

For Brzezinski's part, it's more than a bit odd that she would play down the problems at MSNBC now.

After all, her public dispute with MSNBC about pay equity has been well known. In fact, she's made it herself on her own show.

"We make less than our male counterparts," said Brzezinski last year. "I found out on this show that I made a lot less than Joe. 14 times less."
