For some reason, my photos have been removed twice in the last month because "The photo you posted may contain copyrighted material and, for legal reasons, it was necessary for us to remove it."

The material is indeed copyrighted - and I own said copyright!

Every picture posted is of myself. Every picture for which I was not the photographer was posted with permission of the photographer, with the understanding that we both share rights to the work as discussed at the shoot and beyond.

I am sick of having my photos taken down every month because some a$$ decides to report it maliciously and deceitfully. Is there any way to prevent this???

I've had the same thing happen also. My primary photo is art created specifically for me by Sardax. I have a letter from him and he also tweeted on my behalf:

I'm not sure what other proof they require.

Considering how much art of Sardax I see stolen and used on people's profiles, I find it ironic that they take mine down when I actually commission him to do originally art on my behalf and we have a working relationship.

There is a great topic in the HELP section on the other side of this site. (where your profile resides)
It lists what to do in event your photos are stolen, but it also explains what to do to prove the photos
are yours, so perhaps following that process will help resolve this.

There is also a Support Button on the bottom of the page. Perhaps writing them will get you more definitive answers.

The problem is that if you're going to prove that the photos are yours, they want a photo you (The person in the photo) holding up a sign that says "Stolen Pics". Is he really expected to go to every single person he's taken a picture of and ask them to do that?!

Upon more extensive review of the Help Section, there is detailed information
in what to do if images in which you hold the copyright to are removed in error.
