i have been thinking a bit lately about pets. as it is where i have been feeling myself pulled twards for some times. but as my need to be a pet grows bigger my thoungts also drift twards having one of my own. some one to care for like that. some one to cuddle and dare i even say it train. i am not dominant in anyway and i dont want a sexslave. does any of this make any sence? and firther in to the thought can a pet have a pet? or can a slave have a pet? i dont know. it is confusing and honestly a bit scary to walk this path alone. have no one to ask questions or to guide me as i find out more about myself and the one i am. to move from the idea of bdsm as a whole to then realising you need to submit and now this step of growing, shifting from a big picture in to a more specific oriantation for lack of a better word. this is not realy a question maybe more a way to went my thoughts and get some constuctive adwise or see a Masters thoughts on this mather.

Go for it. There is no law that I can find in the BDSM Rules and Regulation handbook that states that you cant endulge your fetishes. In other words - the BDSM police wont show up on your doorstep to take you to jail.

I'm trying to figure out how it would all fit together. You are, per your profile, currently single. Are you looking for a Master who would accommodate your desire for your own pet, or a pet to be with you in the search for a Master? Does the gender of your pet matter? If I were to take you aboard, I'd be leery of a pet that was not under my control as well. Simply, the dynamics of a poly/pet situation get pretty complicated, and I'm not sure of your intended role within it.

How does a pet own a pet? Is it like the cat who pounces and carries around a mouse in its teeth? But in the end, do what you want. I'm sure there's someone out there who is more than willing to be whatever you want.

There are all sorts of relationships in the bdsm universe. sometimes submissives/slaves are owners of their own subs/slaves, too - there are people who fantasize specifically about being the slave of a slave because it means they're even lowlier than a slave. =p If you can imagine it, there's probably someone doing it.

It's not completely out of the question. The Goreans (I think it is) have the institution of the First Girl. She's still her master's slave, but she's a sort of lieutenant as well, and has command of the other slaves with authority she borrows from their master. It does make things more complicated, of course. In the First Girl model, there's a clear chain of command. But if you had a pet, would she have to obey whoever you're subbing to? That, of course, would have to be up to all those involved. Yay, negotiation! Best of luck finding what you're looking for. :)

It's entirely possible to set up your relationships so you sub to one person and dominate another. It is more complicated for obvious reasons - you need to find two people who are compatible with you and happy with a poly arrangement. If they are also to be involved with each other, then they also need to match each other. If not, you need to work out a way to divide your time so everyone gets what they need. You would also need to figure out what happens if they are conflicts - does your Master get the final say, or does he not get any say at all in what happens with your pet? Possible but challenging. The only thing that confuses me is what is bolded above - how will you dominate someone without having any dominant traits? And why would someone want to submit to you if you're not dominant at all?

The only drawback to a pet, be i thuman or four legged is it may not fit into the scheme that the one you want as amaster might have. To make it easier, for the time being I would postpone that desire until you find the dominant / master for you and then you can discuss it witn the one who will be controlling you.

Okay, this probably sounds like a stupid question and I don't want to hijack the thread, but what IS a pet when it doesn't involve pet play? How is that different than a submissive or slave? NBMG
