I am not interested in being with someone who doesn't also want to be with me so this would be a sign of major incompatibility. I call him when I want to share stuff, he does the same. If he never wanted to call and talk to me, that would say he wasn't really interested in me for anything beyond a booty call. I don't do that. Up to you to decide if you're okay with that.

And then I'll go ahead and add on the massive insecurity such a "tactic" implies. I'd have a hard time feeling very adult if I did such a thing much less "dom".
