Personally, I am not fan, probably because power dynamics are my real turn on, and I don't perceive doctors as out-and-out authority figures, just professionals.

medical play doesnt do a thing for me ... i mean i go in for my yearly pap smear, mammogram etc... so i get all the medical play i need...lol....

oh yeah and lets not forget the 5 year colonospy .... nope no desire what so ever to play medical

Its something that sounds intriguing in theory, but not so much when I think about the reality of it. Between just being too close to the gyn exam stuff to be sexy, and the possibility of some serious injury or infection if the guy isn't careful......... Yeah, not a turn on......

That chiding is ironic, considering this 2nd sentence in a profile that should sound familiar:

People say I'm sarcastic or cynical, I prefer "has a dry sense of humor." Because I do enjoy life, and making fun of it.

When I used to pro Mistress I specialized in medical play. My background helped and so I can competently pierce, catheterize, take blood, give saline infusions, sounds, dilate, suture, speculum examination, enemas and colon irrigation. I had an entire white room with a gynecological couch and cabinets full of medical tools. Some of the things I collected over the years were antique medical tools. Most I didn't use and were only on show but I did have an original straight jacket and an Edwardian head and neck brace that I used.
Medical play can be anything from a titillating examination to very real medical procedures. For the later, one should have some medical training or a good teacher preferably in the medical profession (and I don't mean a hospital janitor!)
Most of my stuff has now been sold on but I still have a fantastic array of sounds and an antiquated old doctors leather case that contains my needles and such like. I have also kept hold of some Victorian dental equipment that will never be used but just lovely to look at.

Personally I am very curious about medical scenario's.
I haven't participated in any of them, so I can't say I like or dislike them.
But I've had a lot of fun discussing them, thinking about them, etc. and quite a few "toys" on my wishlist are related to this kind of thing.
Still waiting for the right opportunity to try it out.

I think that if you've had uncomfortable experiences with it in real life, in or outside of roleplay, this might not be appealing to you at all.
For me though, I feel there could be a real sense of helplessness that really speaks to my imagination.

we engage in light medical play... it is more along the lines of latex gloved hands roaming around and questioning/embarassing me about past sexcapades and such. i do think the latex is a huge turn on for me... builds such anticipation.
