Hey Lookie?

I specifically said this was not a Dem vs Republican issue.

Wanna know why?

Because there are thousands of sites with both parties crimes listed... including those of child rape/molestation.

So why dont you stick with the OP and shove the partisan bullshit.

This isnt about a Republican, its about an "alleged" monster in our political system.

Just wanted to show both sides kiddo....I agree...the monster isn't represented by either political party. Yours represented Republicans. This balances the equation.

Sickos don't always wear plaid pants, shave their heads or vote one way.

I concur.

I have not seen anyone state that Democrats cant be just as sick. The us vs them angle has been tackled here before. The need for "proving" it wasnt just one party has long since past. This was posted just because of the enormous number of charges. NOT because of his party affiliation.

Dont judge me because I sin differently than you.
If you want it sugar coated, dont ask me what i think! It would violate TOS.

I'm agreeing with all the previous posters who said that the powerful feel that they are beyond the rules. It would appear that the arrogance of some powerful men knows no limits.

Nor does it recognise any boundaries. It's just as likely to happen on the Centre, Right or Left, in the USA, Australia or Europe. Power attracts monsters. Power corrupts. Power feeds belief of personal invincibility just as surely as it corrupts moral boundaries. Nor is this abusive behaviour an exclusive monopoly of politics or religion. (Look at the Michael Jackson case or the current scandal surrounding Jimmy Saville, the UK TV personality.)

Worse still, it is almost impossible to design a proactive system to weed out the monsters in advance without severely infringing personal freedoms and general liberty.

Yes, tweakabelle, I also agree that part of the issue is coming up with a way to prevent these things from happening.

I am sick of hearing about powerful men (and yes, they usually are men), doing this to children.

The measure of a society truly comes from how we treat the most vulnerable - and children would be at the top of that list. The fact that we, as a society, cannot seem to protect children is very, very sad. Men use their power and authority to kowtow others into remaining silent, choosing to look the other way, etc. Whether it is a religious organization, an elite athletic group, a prominent celebrity, or a politician - I am sick of of the excuses, cover-ups, rationalizations, etc. When will we collectively step up to the plate and acknowledge that people in powerful positions need to be monitored more carefully and that systems need to be in place to protect people who are strong enough to come forward to speak.

Everyone who cares about creating a safer society for children should read Malcolm Gladwell's piece from the New Yorker about pedophiles http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/atlarge/2012/09/24/120924crat_atlarge_gladwell
