godmonger666 -> Being observant and paying attention (10/22/2012 11:45:56 PM)

before i moved to the community setting apartment;
i lived at an apartment by slaughter lane
every so often
there would be road kill
first couple of times
i called 311
to have the carcass removed
then the next time
decided not to
it is not my job
the next 3 road kills
stayed there and rotted away
a lot of people walked by those road kills
not noticing or calling 311
to remove the carcass
is everyone in that area
oblivious or guilty of apathy
for not calling 311

also here at the community
the door to the courtyard
is squeeky
and needs oiled
i told the staff working
at the reception desk
they have staff
24/7 along with a security guard
about the squeeky door
she said
to tell maintenance
to have it worked on
i told her its not my job
other people should notice
it too
or are they too oblivious
and never pay attention
like the drunk woman who
forgot her dog

i told her
i am the most observant
and pay more attention
than most people

it is easy to be observant
and pay attention
when one is not caught up
in the games people play
since i am an outsider
that makes it easier

in a way,
i am blessed
i don't have to deal
with shit of other people

i shoot straight from the hip
i do my own thing
i am responsible only for myself
i have to answer to no one
except myself

i get the feeling
that some people envy me
because of that

plus when i attend
anger managment
life will become very
very easy

i am grateful for that fact
alone can be very good
i wise man told me
alone
is the same as
be all one
a symbol of being complete
without anything added
that would be codependent
or dependence
i'm an independent

I'm already a rather alarming tint of green due to your grammatical prowess

godmonger666 -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 1:31:32 AM)

Clearly.

littlewonder -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 1:53:17 AM)

like I said 1 crayon short of a full box

pyschosubmission -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:00:52 AM)

Personally I'd have went for 1 crayon short of an empty box...

LonDom61 -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:07:02 AM)

Dude

wtf?

Your OP is...what?
A Poem? An ode to yourself?
Bragging about how observant you are?

You spot dead animals & squeaky doors. Good for you.

Generally a post here asks a question. Or has a definable point prompting folks to chime in.
This might be better in your journal. And your journal has one entry with less than 20 words.

Generally a profile is more than a whinge about your diseases, germ phobias, social assistance woes.
It's not paying for the meds that would keep you clear headed.

Granted, you do mention finding someone to shit in your mouth on a regular basis. Mention it twice. The only kink anywhere in your text.

Uh...you're afraid to ride the bus cuz you might catch the flu...but you want shit in your mouth? e. coli etc.

I am not criticizing that kink. I'm saying it's inconsistent. I call shenanigans.

godmonger666 -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:07:57 AM)

I'm outside the box

pyschosubmission -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:23:40 AM)

How did I know you'd say that...

absolutchocolat -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:38:18 AM)

because he's AWESOME.

godmonger666 -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:41:18 AM)

about my photo
do i look bored?
like a give a fuck?
like i am in deep thought?
or all of the above
when it comes to what other people think?
do you lose sleep?
have a nervous breakdown?
study psychology?
go to church?
clip your toe nails?
have a butt plug in your ass so you won't accidentally fart in an elevator?
give the cashier at McDonald's a tip for the great food?
read a book on how to become politically correct?
all of the above
none of the above

crazyml -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 2:42:59 AM)

Actually you should publish your op as poetry.

I think it's amazing.

Dude...

WE are outside the box. That's why we're all here. (Okay, except some of us might occasionally and consensually put a sub IN a box.)

Can YOU even see the box from where you are?

Go ahead. Write me a poem.

= = =

Not on the topic of this thread exactly (but what IS the topic of this thread exactly?)...

***

Okay. I stepped away for a bit. Figured out how to make it relate.

OP. Topic is how observant you are.

Observe your profile. It contains the following two statements (paraphrased):

"I refuse to ride a buses because they're all full of cold & flu germs" and

"I'll never find someone to shit in my mouth"

Your OP says people don't observe the dead animals and squeaky doors. Or, if they do, they do nothing about it.

I have observed this apparent contradiction in your profile. And now I'm doing something about it.

I'm asking you, in effect, to fix your own squeaky door.

How is it you fear a few flu germs on your skin, but not a medium full of e. coli bacteria in your mouth?

= = =
I'm probably skirting the "be reasonably nice or at least tolerant" clause in the UA. But at least I think I stayed on topic.

"I'll never find someone to shit in my mouth"

Most women I know have a box. They like,to put a *real* man in it from time to time.

Oh, this is the shit in my mouth guy? THAT explains a lot.....

He's definitely outside THAT box. Those boxes.

culareD -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 9:42:34 AM)

Crayon (inside or outside of the box) is too nice of a description. I was thinking of this instead.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 12:21:20 PM)

I liked his original post. It did read as a poem, a quirky and odd poem. Which is probably why I liked it.

Please do call 3-1-1. Who cares if anyone else does it? If you see it, and you can do a small service, whynot?

Oil the door hinges yourself. If you can afford a can of WD30, and you can do a small service, why not?

Do little things, maybe people are observant enough to notice, and pay it forward?

LonDom61 -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/23/2012 12:30:41 PM)

Good point, Winsome.

So...some people is observant (OP being a prime example)

Other people is considerate.

OMG! That was hilarious and soooo fitting. [sm=biggrin.gif]

Aylee -> RE: Being observant and paying attention (10/25/2012 7:13:46 PM)

2 things

1) Have you contacted the local dead animal removal people about perhaps doing a weekly check of your street for dead animals to be removed? Have they told you what steps need to be taken to have your street be part of their route?

2) The person told you to contact maintenance. Have you done this? Have you considered that his/her job is to let you know whom is to be contacted?

Are you actually and actively looking for solutions? Or something else?
