Every now and then I browse through profiles here on CM. Just now I came across a FEMDOM who:

1) Lives for Female Supremacy

2) Loves Conservative Politics

3) Likes Cuckholding

4) Hates Polyamory

Somehow I had a really hard time fitting "female supremacy" and "cuckholding" into CONSERVATIVE POLITICS.

I am curious of your idle thoughts here. To me, female supremacy is to the left of feminism and cuckholding is to the left of gay marriage, making me wonder how exactly they lineup with Conservative Politics. Now I can see how hating polyamory is Conservative, but it seems a bit at odds with cuckholding. I am truly confused.

------

If you too have spotted bewildering profile contradictions while browsing the registered fare here at CM, please feel free to share.

What in the name of all that is holy does one's politics have to do with who or what one fucks, and how one goes about it?

Quick reply off the top of my head. Here in a very red area of the nation being "conservative" is not about agreeing on a broad political platform but more of like feeling you are in a club. Many self claimed conservatives pick issues that they are passionate about and ignore the others. So someone who loves guns focuses on that. See a lot of cars with Bush 2004 stickers along side pro union ones.

People choose political sides based on a few issues that are important to themselves and do not adopt the whole platform. There is a whole political groups of gay and lesbian Republicans for instance.

I assumed a liberal/conservative political connection in theory, but found upon meeting people in the lifestyle, that political choices have no bearing on bdsm lifestyle activities.

I find it much more contradictory that someone likes cuckolding and hates polyamory.

Lorelei's got a point...I'm not sure I could reconcile cuckolding and non-poly..  However, I find myself being on a 'mixed platform' politically... I can't say I'd go as far as to keep a Union Bumpersticker though...that just seems a bit extreme...

Merc, where are you? I think this question is directed towards you more than any other CM member. Enlighten us once again with your political wisdom.

Arpig, nothing in my post had any direct connection to fucking. It was more trying to puzzle together seemingly contradictory personal values, as MistressLorelei did by also wondering how one could hate polyamory and like cuckholding. I suppose this would work in a "polyamory for me and monogamy for you universe." That double standard, I suppose, is pluggable into female supremacy, although I wouldn't call it the neatest of fits.

It does seem like a contradiction to me also, especially when one looks at what the word conservative means. One can hold political ideals and still not identify as a conservative. It is like being gay and supporting Pat Robertson or something...lol. Why would you identify with people that hate you and the life you lead. People who think you are not only perverted, but would possibly stone you if it were legal. It is very odd

I do not consider myself a party person, I am radically liberal (at least others think I am), and mostly because I think that no one has a right into my life. That includes Ann Coulter, Jerry Falwell, and Robert Frisk. If I stated I was a conservative those are the people i would see myself as aligned with. Just my opinion.

When I have met extremely kinky men who are also conservative politically, they've been very cagey/closetted about their desires.  At home he's into cuckoldry, and scat, and at work he's doing everything as on the straight and narrow as one can possibly do it.  Needless to say I don't do well with folks like that.
I too find them contradictory, but some people apparently are able to divorce their thoughts (political stance) from their feelings (amorous pursuits).
The

part is easy to understand from male doms with their 2+girls, while the girl has to remain faithful to him, as well as the fem doms who cuck their lovers, but the lovers aren't permitted anyone else...   Let me tell you, there is no shortage of sub men wanting this from my experience, I almost wish I were into it.   M

In Europe conservatives are seen as the sexual hypocrites and the left seen as the economic hypocrites. All in all people are generally hypocrites because what they think they should be is not generally what they really are. How many people want to show a particular upright side of themselves in public and are bent as a butcher's hook in reality? Some people must be very confused.

To a certain degree I guess we all want our cake and eat it too which is why there are so  many threads on CM about people taking advantage or not being the genuine article. The furores make wonderful work distractions.

There is no reason why areas in a profile should not seem conflicting! I'd go as far to say that many people who have their entire profile and especially if they haven'y written much about themselves, either have a BS profile designed to be pleasing to as many people as possible or they are basically simple people who do not have a complex personality. Those with conflicting profiles would I think be complex people with a multidude of conflicting interests which they may well be passionate about. They could of course have many issues which they have not reconciled, are not passionate about many aspects but just like them, want to experience them or experienced to any great degree.....

Most rational people have a difficult time separating their core values and life philosophies from their sex organs. Sure, there are those who let their genitals do their thinking for them, totally separate from their brains. I wouldn't consider these rational people whom I care to be involved with though.

The fact that a person's sex life is shaped by their conclusions and value-judgments ideally should be evident in every aspect of their lives. Most people only desire someone they can admire and who share their moral standards, self-esteem, and view of life. Only with such a partner can they experience the reality of the values they  themselves are seeking to celebrate.

Sexual desire, far from being an animal reaction, should be a self-revelation, and yes a celebration of what you hold in esteem. Sex is to love what action is to thought, possession to evaluation, body to soul. Sex is the preeminent form of bringing love into physical reality.

What is the value, where is the satisfaction of "fucking" someone whom you have nothing in common with but an itch that could more easily and less messily be satisfied by masturabation?

Just a thought:
According to Charles Murray, What It Means to Be a Libertarian, Broadway Books, 1997

The American Founders created a society based on the belief that human happiness is intimately connected with personal freedom and responsibility. The twin pillars of the system they created were limits on the power of the central government and protection of individual rights. . . .
A few people, of whom I am one, think that the Founders' insights are as true today as they were two centuries ago. We believe that human happiness requires freedom and that freedom requires limited government.
The correct word for my view of the world is liberal. "Liberal" is the simplest anglicization of the Latin liber, and freedom is what classical liberalism is all about. The writers of the nineteenth century who expounded on this view were called liberals. In Continental Europe they still are. . . . But words mean what people think they mean, and in the United States the unmodified term liberal now refers to the politics of an expansive government and the welfare state. The contemporary alternative is libertarian. . . .
Libertarianism is a vision of how people should be able to live their lives-as individuals, striving to realize the best they have within them; together, cooperating for the common good without compulsion. It is a vision of how people may endow their lives with meaning-living according to their deepest beliefs and taking responsibility for the consequences of their actions.

Looong, I know.
Have a great weekend all!
