It is interesting to see every topic turning into Republicans vs Democrats nonsense. It must be said the system is cleverly set up by the elites. Regarding the debt one should not miss the big picture. Why the high debt load happened? We are talking about so-called bad debt as opposed to profitably invested debt. People are stupid. I think the government-corporate conspiracy and the financial system fraud is to blame. There is certainly absolutely no difference between the Republicans and the Democrats. Thinking of the commonly assumed economic differences between the two parties, one may say, Bill Clinton was a Republican, GW Bush a Democrat (one of the largest expansions of the government). One number that is not so often mentioned is the trade deficit. I think the huge (and increasing) trade deficit is one of the most important economic trends that needs to be closely monitored and explained. The official propaganda about the status of economy focuses on the stock market indices and it distorts the reality.
