The black and white spot features local kids and an original song (lyrics by Goodby, art direction by Silverstein) that provides a sobering look “at what our children will say about us and how we left the world for them.” And it’s not always pretty.

The ad is the brainchild of Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein, of the San Francisco-based Goodby Silverstein & Partners, for their Future Children Project. The Future Children Project states on its website, “Re-electing President Obama is a momentous decision that will require every single voter. What would the children of the future say if we let them down this November?”

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Goodby is a registered Republican who said he has some concerns about “the direction the party is going,” while Silverstein said he was spurred by the “huge implications for the future” the presidential election will have.

The two ad men — who have produced some of the country’s most- watched ad work, for clients including Foster Farms, Cheetos, Comcast, Denny’s and Frito Lay — say they were “inspired by the “90 Days, 90 Reasons” project that asks artists to produce “a reason-a-day countdown ’till the election in support of Barack Obama,” according to the SF ad agency.

So what facts did I get wrong, oh enlightened one? The video was produced by Obama supporters, the damage on the cars was done by Obama supporters... 2+2=4 here in the US... I know you UK Canucks use the metric system and all, but 2+2 still equals 4, or at least it did the last time I was in Canada.

See the first time around I had only clicked on the one link(I know,I'm rather slow on this shit...lol) hadn't seen the children(was wondering wgat you all were talking about....lol) anyway I went back and clicked on the second one(a real leap of faith for me,clicking to links put up by subrob....lol)I thought it was pure genius...okay they aren't the worlds best singers...but they were good...and the message was spot on.
