I'm not going to say that I only care about their hearts and mind because it isn't true. I need a certain physicality to be sexually attracted. Friends are different. I'm not going to date a dwarf because a guy under 6' doesn't turn me on. With that said, everyone has issues. Everyone. And if they don't have them now, they will in a few more years. 1 in 6 women have been abused. 1 in 4 people have had an episode of depression. Look around you and your three best friends, one of you is or will be depressed and thus labeled as mentally ill. What I care about is not so much if a person has issues but how they handle them. Taking your meds, doing your exercises, seeing your therapist is one thing. Someone who won't do the PT, won't take the meds, won't get mental health help - nope, I'm not going there. If you don't care enough to be the best person you can be, why should I?
