Priceless,absolutely priceless.
Particularly the closing question,I won't spoil it here for those who have yet to see it [:)]

Arguing against mass and willful hysteria using facts, logic and expert professional opinion is a losing battle, of course. It doesnt matter that our top military people believed a rescue effort would be impractical and would probably end in the loss of even more American lives. What matters is that talk-show hosts and others can stir up millions of Americans raised on Rambo movies to believe that their leaders could have helped to rescue a well-respected U.S. diplomat and his team, but simply decided it wasnt worth the effort. Because the president is a traitor.

subrob1967 -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 9:49:11 AM)

Don't worry guys, the deaths in Libya were just bumps in the road. Keep applauding Obama for acting Presidential for only the third time in four years.

Party on Barack

5 days... Tick tock.

lovmuffin -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 10:25:02 AM)

Yeah Rob, it wasn't optimal.

slvemike4u -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 11:55:50 AM)

Romney seemed to think it was.
Sure looked to impartial observers that he moved rather quickly(too quick to get all the facts)in trying to score political points.
Hell the bodies weren't even cold yet [:@]

We have reached a new low when, depending on your political view, its OK to do a comedy piece, and laugh, about the preventable deaths of four Americans.

mnottertail -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 1:04:02 PM)

Oh, wheres that at?  Explain to us, using facial expressions and gestures how it was preventable, since no credible citations could conceivably be forthcoming.

This just didn't happen like we had no warning. There were different occassions of bombs blowing out walls, and the Ambassador himself sending messages that the situation was going to hell weeks or months ago and requesting more security. The Red Cross and the British moved their people out. They obviously knew it was going to get ugly and obviously have more brains than our entire State Department! What the hell was our State Department thinking? Somebody dropped the ball big time here. They should name names and heads shoud roll.

mnottertail -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 1:23:31 PM)

Did you work out what happened when in Beirut they blew a embassy away, killing many americans, then st wrinklemeat went and got 251 million from congress to beef up a new one and provide security and they blew that one up, and a couple weeks later blew up the military compound killing that new security, and all this in the space of 7 months, all under St. Wrinklemeat?  Anyone on the spot sending any memos out on that ya think?

Increase the facial gestures and the gesculations, since we are having armchair chickenhawk noise in the channel here, on this end.

Politesub53 -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 1:25:17 PM)

I didnt see much moaning from the right about all the deaths in Iraq under Bush, is that somehow different ?

The comedy piece is not about the death of four Americans, its about the FNC using it as a talking point to spear the President of the USA when the facts don't support such a conclusion.

It occurred to me that I should not be surprised, b/c Benghazi is similar to Whitewater, Paula Jones, and Monica Lewinski under Bill Clinton; it's an event that the well funded right-wing fringe uses to cripple a Democratic President.

FNC is not doing any reporting on the 100,000 IRAQIs killed and 4,000 American soldiers lost in IRAQ, or how after the US had gained the upper hand in Afghanistan only to let it slip away entirely.

Lucylastic -> RE: FNC and Libya (11/1/2012 6:30:02 PM)

I remember fox making fun about canadians getting killed with Greg Guttfield a couple of years ago

Try to understand this....

They moved out 18 months before this incident.

Did that make it through your filters?
