There is a lady I once helped train in the Telnet chatters that I run into regularly just about everywhere - here, Facebook, Fetlife. I also run into her Dom/husband (they are open/poly, very nice folk) eventually, but somehow I bump into her first. [:)]

Two of my ex's have accounts here. I'm on good terms with one of them, but neither are here long enough to even say hi.

i had a pic up on another site. an old friend and neighbor who became a lover (nothing kinky) found me. turns out we knew many of the same people in the scene and had a blast 20 something years later together at the Lair (an LA dungeon).

I in good faith tried to start a topic that I was curious about and thought others might want to speak to as well. Then in the midst of that process, the issue of subject location appropriateness came up where others and myself expressed an opinion. If expression of different opinions make you uncomfortable where you have to relate it to your own personal issues of calling someone else names to pacify yourself, perhaps there's a thread subject elsewhere on here that can help you with that.

No, I've never been caught on a kink site, mainly because I prefer honesty in my interpersonal relationships. So there is nothing for anyone to catch me at. Not only do the people I'm involved with know I post here, they post here as well (just not as often).

If a friend or acquaintance saw my picture on here, so what? It means they were on here as well. Big deal.

When you don't lie to and cheat on your significant others, life is much simpler.

Agreed on honesty in relationships. My thread title might not be the best in that it can infer some sort of wrong-doing, but I mean it more in the sense of being surprised by someone finding you that you didn't necessarily expect to do so or you perhaps finding them and never for a moment suspecting there'd be possibility for such to occur.

Back in the day...

Before I discovered CM, FL, etc.

When I was using the Intimate section of lava, which offered some kink tags.

A girl contacted me, asked a few questions by email, then said

When we met, she said she`d had a crush on me back then. I had known that.

I didn't know until after they'd moved out of my rental cottage, but my tenants are/were on CM. I came across their profile a few months later and we all had a good laugh about it. They had tried extra hard to keep quiet back there so I wouldn't find out.

I haven't, but my boy has. Not everyone who cruises CM are members, some just wanna know where the "ho's" are. To avoid horney local guys who might be perving CM looking for someone to cyber or have phone sex with, and no doubt in my area there are plenty, I don't post a pic. I don't need to deal with that in the tiny town I live in. If I still lived in Van Nuys, CA or somewhere else, it wouldn't bother me.

My boy has been caught here at CM because of his picture. There were consequences. His long time hunting buddy who used to come over to play pool...stopped coming. He's not the one who found bo at CM, it was someone else and the guy blabbed it all over the neighborhood that (since bo is a submissive) bo is a "faggot". Everyone knows he's straight and that he has a girlfriend (me), but he still is given a very hard time. Even at his doctor's office. Yes, the guy even told bo's mother.

As for myself, I haven't "caught" anyone at CM so far. It wouldn't surprise me if one of my uncles or my cousin's adult son (he was at some BDSM site, I just don't know which one) were here at CollarMe.

What I am really hoping for...is to someday "catch" an old friend I lost touch with over the years. After her husband died she started dating again, found someone and I guess tried to hint to me that she was kinky...but alas, I was too dense to catch on. Last time we had contact, she had moved nearby to where I live now. (The problem with locating women is that their last name often changes.)

Again, I don't mind being "caught" by fellow kinksters, whether family or friends, it's just the asshats I'm avoiding by not posting a pic. (I outed myself to my family and to all current friends.)
