That Frankenstorm thing killed our Halloween this year. No trick-or-treaters came (other than the two 13 year olds my son knows and had asked to come over). We had had to shovel six inches of snow off the walkway and put down salt, so I understand why nobody wanted to take their toddlers out in that mess. I am tired all the time, often sleeping more than 12 hours per day, so I guess I will need to get some blood work done to see whazzup. Since I usually get very short on Vitamin D by this time of year...I started taking some. (Thank God it's not MY stomach/innards that have as many holes as swiss cheese. Hope you are better soon, MDA.) Halloween is usually my favorite time of the year and it's kinda depressing to have to pack it all away, but that's what I'll be doing later today after bo arrives to do all the hauling upstairs and such. I've got at least six large tubs full. The cats always get so excited when we start putting up the decorations. I traded a friend something for a dragontail flogger she had made...and it has become my favorite. Mom has been gone in Texas for about two weeks, going on a Caribbean cruise with my sister, her new hubby, and my niece. Her return had to be delayed because of the storm. There was a weather advisory to stay off of the roads and we were expecting 12 inches of snow, so I stayed home. I hope she enjoys her extra days in the warm sun...cuz she will be coming home to snow and slush. This past month bo and I have hosted two play parties, both were a success. Yay! One of the couples we are friends with come over often AND...she is helping me ball up skeins of yarn that I have been keeping in tubs. Dang she's fast! I had three stuffed grocery bags full that I thought would keep her hands busy for weeks and she was done in maybe five days. I've got plenty more where that came from, and as long as she's game...so okay, I did give her lots of my thuddy ribbon floggers and possibly the hours spent are evening out. Still, I am grateful. Doing these at home is very difficult, cuz my kitties are badder than hers are. Also, I have SIX. Sometimes I swear that cats confuse yarn with dental floss... I have been watching some of my hair grow back out. Months back I was wearing a hair eating necklace that kept breaking off strands of my hair. (Serpentine) When my hair is braided or even in a pony tail, I have lots of hair hanging down my neck. Aargh. In another few months it will be long enough to stop making me feel like a spider has landed on my neck. bo and I are doing fine. Um, our guests are getting used to how I'm kinda going Hollywood with our small dungeon. LOL, I have fabric from midway down the wall to the floor that looks like dark cobblestones, and yep, I couldn't resist putting fat plastic Halloween dungeon chains" around the top of the walls. And finally, my Pokemon... Last month we picked up our newest Pokemon games, Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. I'm having a blast! My son was the first one to run into a shiny, but he didn't have a catcher on him at the time and misjudged an attack and accidentally made it faint. It was a shiny Mantyke, a water/flying Pokemon that looks like a medium blue manta ray with a delicate light blue belly. Sometimes we play hundreds of hours before running into a shiny, so his losing it instead of catching it has him all upset. He will be talking about the one that got away for YEARS, lol. It's 9:25 a.m., time for me to go to bed. I hope everyone has a good month and a great turkey day. Later after I sleep and wake up I'll be cutting fresh cranberries in half, shaking them in a colander to get rid of seeds, then putting them into my food dehydrators. I missed doing this last year...I know I'm probably weird but I like adding a small spoonful of dried berries into my hot tea from time to time and this is the only time of the year I can get them.
