Where in the country are you? Anything relevant to the process you care to share. If you want to blather on about a candidate or a party, start your own thread please. I have as of 7:01 am EST .... And that was a minute into the election.... The line right after I came out was 10 minutes deep ... In 5 elections in this precinct, I have NEVER seen a turnout anywhere near what I am seeing. I took my station as a poll watcher right after that. It's 10ish and there has been no lull. I threw away my ballot, as I have with every single one that has arrived at my desk since 2000, when I voted for Bush and Gore won. Gore should have been my Prez....and I stopped voting at that point. Gore should have been the Prez and I thought I'd agreed to the system that made the "better (man)" win. That was Gore. One of my secretaries asked me last week who I was voting for and....I went through my long diatribe about the electoral college, the fallacy of voting, etc....and then, this weekend I thought (after 8 long years)...."this one is important....if I'm even remotely wrong....I better take a stand". And so, on Sunday I dug through my trash at my desk, found my voting thingamjig and voted. Hesitantly, but in fact. I still think it was a waste of a stamp but....this election is without question, the single most important one in my lifetime, yours and the futures. I figured it'd be better to be wrong than arrogant. And yet you managed to be both c'mon man, that one was just far too easy
