Status: offline 		When I was 19 or so, I could mix any pill with any other....uppers then downers or any combination for any desired result (granted, we didn't have the multiple dissected options there are today).

Today I have about 4 or so pills I HAVE to take, but honest to gawd....if I take a vitamin with them, I have to go to the internet and make sure there isn't an issue with same.

Pomegranate juice can affect some drugs we take. So can pineapple juice. Tomato juice can cause interactions.

I can't even take a damned aspirin without worrying I'm gonna go tripping!

I wanna go back to the 70's where I could take anything and just have a damned good time.

Status: offline 		It wasn't that we didn't have any reactions or interactions back in our younger days (not 35 years ago for me...). It was that we didn't actually care if there were any. I'm sure there are juices and foods that would have made our drug of choice back then less efficient, but did you really go looking into it? And how could you, if the drugs were illegal and didn't exactly come with an ingredients list to look up? And to think, I'm from the ecstacy era. It's a wonder so many of us survived it!

Here's the real difference:

Then: We did drugs despite what they did to our bodies

Now: We take drugs because of what they can do for our bodies

It's all about perceptions.

(btw, happily clean for over 8 years. Yay me!!!)

Status: offline 		I haven't had grapefruit or grapefruit juice in over ten years. I used to drink it with vodka. I probably haven't had anything more than a half glass of wine in over ten years either. Getting old is no fun.

Status: offline 		My perspective is that it's less to do with age and more to do with your body not willing to put up with the abuse any longer. Treat your body right and it will not take revenge. ;)

That's my opinion and when I see someone like this guy...

Me too - I was busy watching Sesame Street and making mud pies in the back yard. I also would climb the back fence to go see the German neighbor lady who would always have cookies and candy. My mom was one of those 70's health nut granola heads. She always wondered why I was so hyper after playing outside.

Personally I don't see what you see in the skin. There aren't exactly major wrinkles there.

As for "build", if you had read my post you would know that I wasn't referring to build at all. I am talking about treating the body right.
