Or Mitt could just give up.....[:D]

He might have the class, and the legitimate concern for the good of the country.

God knows Obama doesn't.

Oh please, if it comes down to 2000 again in Florida, Romney will be out there fighting for every vote, trying to uncover anything he can just as Gore did.

If the President wins Ohio....and it looks like he has..... Florida DOESN`T MATTER......[:D]

One thing that isn't a surprise to me is how close these battleground states have been. I'm sure the spin doctors will have plenty to say, but the end result will say "No change"

Brown lost to Warren.....

I like that change....

Yeah, and the pregnant by rape being what god intended guy losing was good to see.. But the song will remain the same. The Republican House won't be in any mood to give Obama anything. So we can all have another 4 years of blaming each other.. Won't that be loads of fun?

TheHeretic -> RE: The surprises. (11/6/2012 7:48:33 PM)

With 64% reporting, the Prez is expanding the slim lead in Ohio, and it looks like Romney is going to take North Carolina.

Nutcase idealogues like him need to not only be defeated but retire from trying to run for anything more important than dogcatcher.
Before these religious fuckwits took over the Republican party, it was truly the GRAND Old Party.
Now, it's largely populated by ignorant Bible beaters.

Republican party. You have met the enemy and he is you.

Fox has Obama at 244, Romney at 193.

Had to flip over to see. [:D]

stef -> RE: The surprises. (11/6/2012 8:04:01 PM)

CNN is 238-191 Obama at last count

CNN.com has it 237-206.

Is FOX biased toward Obama?[8D]

Well said.

Obama being reelected was never in much doubt for me, I just couldn't see Americans going for someone like Mitt Romney. They're not that crazy.

mons -> RE: The surprises. (11/6/2012 9:26:06 PM)

who won?

I need sleep so I would love to know!

Mons

1. North Carolina, while still leaning Romney, is a lot closer than I had expected.

2. Florida is going for Obama.

3. Virginia is more lopsided than I expected. I had thought that Obama had a good shot there.

4. Huge turnout, especially in Florida. I heard that there were some 3 hour lines.

It appears that the Obama campaign managed a massive GOTV effort in Florida.

And Nate Silver had it right

Yeah, I should have had more faith in him. I had thought that VA was going for Romney but the later results from VA pushed the state towards Obama.

flyhumbleguy -> RE: The surprises. (11/7/2012 5:48:06 AM)

Romney vs Obama was like picking between flavors for a teeth cleaning...no big deal either way when the real business of a root canal looms.

Moonhead -> RE: The surprises. (11/7/2012 5:56:24 AM)

That sounds awfully like the sort of passive aggressive whining you and a lot of other posters were predicting for the Democrat massive in here after Captain Magicpants' inevitable victory, doesn't it?

flyhumbleguy -> RE: The surprises. (11/7/2012 6:03:18 AM)

Passive aggressive whining? You're hardly in a position to diagnose anybody when you can't even string coherent sentences together. I had the exact same thought going into the election as on the other side of it...that there was only a slight degree of difference between the two candidates.
