And the House will be staying under Republican control, Tazzy.

Looks like we may be headed for four more years of partisan gridlock. [:'(]

Unless the President uses his (looking likely) second chance to actually learn something about doing his job, and finds that guy who introduced himself in '04.

Otherwise? Ok.

How about we use tonight to celebrate the fact that the disaster that would have been a Romney Presidency has been avoided. The deficit and the fiscal cliff and all the other issues will be there tomorrow.
Some of us were/are highly invested in this victory.....can we be allowed to celebrate it ?

Right now on the NYTimes, FL is 49.8% Obama to 49.3% Romney

Under Florida law, a recount is automatically triggered in any race decided by a margin of one-half of one percent.

By the time Broward and Dade county report in...it won't matter,no recount will be triggered. These are heavily Democratic counties.

Broward is, Dade is pretty Republican because of the Cuban vote

And yet those same people didnt have the faith in Romney.

slvemike4u -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 7:50:14 PM)

Hill,I am either getting the counties name wrong or you are going to have to take this up with John King of CNN....lol
I don'tkno why I keep going back to Dade county, guess I am getting a little punch drunk(and no,haven't had a drink all night,of recent for some unknown reason I have stopped drinking. The Bottle sits there on the shelf, but I just don't feel the urge...lol)

Hillwilliam -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 7:54:05 PM)

No worries mike.

Dade gets split sometimes.
The Cubans vote R and everyone else votes D just to try to counteract them LOL

lovmuffin -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 7:59:43 PM)

The pan handle of Florida is an hour behind the rest of the state. Romney will likely get better percentages in that part of the state.

Most of those counties are at or near 100% reporting. No way they'll offset the uncounted votes in Broward and Dade counties.

It's Orange county that I keep leaving out of the equation...but still John King says that Miami -Dade is going for Obama,if you have an issue with that take it up with John King and CNN lol

No muffin, the rest of the state is in...sorry,take those 29 out of Romney's column and try to get to 270....lol
Than let the rest of us know how you did it [:D]

kalikshama -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 8:06:20 PM)

92% of FL vote in - Obama 49.7% to Romney 49.5% - automatic recount if this keeps up.

http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/11/06/3085128/interactive-miami-dade-precinct.html

Dade is trending Obama / 627 precincts of 829.

tweakabelle -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 8:18:33 PM)

As I write, Jeb Bush is conceding Florida to Obama, and Fox is conceding Ohio. They seem to be the final nails in Romney's coffin.

To lose, Obama has to lose virtually all of the remaining swing states. That is theoretically possible but as a practical proposition, forget it.

Obama has won and looks like winning comfortably in the EC.

calamitysandra -> RE: It's just about over (11/6/2012 8:19:09 PM)

CNN just called it for Obama!
