erieangel -> Arrogant bastard (11/6/2012 9:31:19 PM)

I just heard on MSNBC by a journalist at the Romney event that they'd (the press) had written an acceptance speech and nothing else. Romney was sure he'd win tonight he didn't need a concession speech. If that's not arrogance, I don't know what is.

slvemike4u -> RE: Arrogant bastard (11/6/2012 10:07:49 PM)

Yeah well his concession speech wasn't up to John McCain's so maybe,just maybe,he should have started working on it earlier

FMRFGOPGAL -> RE: Arrogant bastard (11/6/2012 11:20:30 PM)

Willard Romney delivered what will go down in history as perhaps the most sullen (smiles and phony rhetoric not withstanding) and uninspired speeches in the history of Presidential contests.
Tacky is about all I can think of.
   If you doubt what I'm saying just go back and listen to either John McCain's or Bob Dole's concession speeches. THOSE were sincere and conciliatory speeches.

stellauk -> RE: Arrogant bastard (11/6/2012 11:34:18 PM)

Now you'd think he'd have sorted the problem out with the PA/mic system before giving the speech.

But meh, whatever.. the dude was on another planet.. totally.

I wish him well whatever he does.

farglebargle -> RE: Arrogant bastard (11/7/2012 12:00:35 AM)

Romney was never intended to win. His job was to lose, thereby giving the Republicans the opportunity to double-down on soliciting donations to "Take America Back For Reals This Time"...

Obama is the best fundraiser the Republicans ever had. They weren't going to stop this gravy train.

Is that why I have already gotten an email asking for more money even though the election is over?

Oh wait, that email came from the left.

Never mind.

More blatherings from a sore......loser
I don't know who you are talking about but all of the winners(folks whose candidate for President won) who I have been talking to are quite happy.

I actually think there is a tremendous amount of truth in this. If the Republican party is smart, they will absolutely use this to their advantage.

subspaceseven -> RE: Arrogant bastard (11/7/2012 8:49:35 AM)

Well keep thinking that, make women, Latinos and gays think that they are lesser than the white male and see how that works. I guess, Akin, Brown, Walsh, and the nut job West will teach you nothing...

Here is a hint, women vote, as do Latinos and gay people... but you and the GOP keep pushing them out of your platform and see what happens..perhaps a single line will teach the teabaggers a lesson

"all men are created equal".... when the GOP understand this, maybe they may be a real party again..

If they were smart, they would ditch the Bible beaters and ignorant idealogues and maybe win next time. Want to take bets on that?

It'll be the same suspects with the same results.
