I'm trying to delete my account. I follow the instructions and receive a message that the account has been deleted but the account is still there. I'd appreciate suggestions.

Thinking its not an instant gratification thing, but something admins need to do when they ge to it

They don't delete accounts. I deleted my account and came back six months later and it was still there. This allows them to say they have 1.5 million users on the site. Don't care who disagrees....i've done it. Make a new account.

I've deleted accounts. I simply clicked on the "delete profile" in the settings and it disappeared. No problems. Contact the other side if you have problems.

I've deleted accounts. You have to not log into them for awhile before they disappear.

other side? I've come backt to an account I've tried to delete after 3 monthe and its still there. Thanks everyone.

Try reporting a load of fake accounts or accounts that violate the TOS by uploading artwork.

When the mods tell you to cease and desist immediately, reply to the mods to say that you'd like to make an official complaint against the mods for shooting the messenger and not the culprits.

I can guarantee your profile will be gone within the hour - deleted.

How do I know??
Done it twice with two previous accounts - worked both times.
Both accounts deleted within 30 minutes of making the complaint.

I've deleted my account 3-4 times over the eons on collarme.. None of my olde user-names seem to pop up on a search i just did.
Try performing an exorcism on your pc ,or wait a week or so, or shout rather loudly at your pc.

Some sites make it difficult or confusing to delete a profile: facebook, match, baddoo, smooch etc. In fact some can be some complicated or hidden that you need to search the googlers.
But not collarme pof, okcupid fetlife etc

For some sites there is a final step they sneak in after ambiguous steps for it to happen so they can lay claim to having a vast user-base of ghost profiles.
