I don't like this.
I think it would be great to have LGBT friendly places. But discrimination in housing based on an applicant being straight... I don't think it will pass muster legally under anti-discrimination laws.
Also, like I've told a transwoman I know - "We will never have equality due to marches and protests. We will have equality only when you borrow a cup of flour from the transperson next door."

Until we get to that point across the board, Steven, given that (as stated in the article) so many LGBT seniors in established facilities are uncomfortable discussing their sexuality due to cases of mistreatment/discrimination, I think facilities like this are important. Especially the one going up in Philly that is geared towards low income seniors.

Stevan there is one of these in wheatridge. Been one in your own back yard 7 years if memory is serving correctly. Friend is on their admin board & does pet therapy there While they are primarily a senior home a couple wheelchair bound younger have lived there & nursing wing does tran post op care. Its not a pretty place or a great property but it is needed
