"Early Christian Worlds", an art book of all that big-eyed, cartoony, Coptic(ish), Icon-like art that I have loved forever. 'Thinking about a trip to that part of the world in the spring. It's a little on the dry side, obviously, but has great pics. Art books now go for song used on Amazon. I guess they are pretty archaic these days. I read the Anthony Keidis autobio (Red Hot Chilli Pepper guy) on my honeymoon and was really impressed. 12 step survivor tales tend towards the preachy, but his humanity (and all the good sex and drug dirt) comes through very eloquently. Bio's by Steven Tyler (sounded like him doing his stage persona) and Andy Kershaw (full of himself World Music DJ) had me skimming and laughing, but not in a good way. I just also started a history of the Surrealists, but mostly they just went to cafe's and dull meetings to fight about whether or not to throw their lot in with the communists, so again, I'm mostly surfing the pics. Man Ray was def the greatest Dom artist of all time, tho. "Surrealists Talk About Sex" was dull too. I mean, they do, but not any big surrealist names, and not in any hot kind of way.
