That's really going to hurt members of the communities these poor people live in. How insensitive. Shocking. [8D]

They cut most of those jobs before the election, genius.

Willard would have saved those jobs.

Yeah, and you read it.

Most of the jobs were cut over two months ago, according to the reporter who wrote the fucking thing.

Lucylastic -> RE: Time to boycott NBC & MSNBC (11/13/2012 2:03:26 PM)

A sporadic series of job cuts NBCUniversal has been making since August will amount to 500 positions, or 1.5% of the workforce, by year’s end.

A source at the conglom confirmed the number circulating in published reports but characterized the eliminations as “nips and cuts” aimed at reducing inefficiencies across many different divisions, as opposed to the broader layoffs that rocked NBCUniversal in the years before its acquisition by Comcast.

The bulk of the cuts have already been completed, but there are still more to come, though NBC Entertainment’s creative execs are expected to emerge unscathed. The unit is on the upswing this fall as new primetime series including “The Voice” and “Revolution” are reversing the ratings doldrums that have plagued the broadcaster in past years.

The date of the story doesn't have anything to do with when the layoffs happened. Did you even bother to READ the story? Take some time and actually read it and notice the telling phrases like "Two months ago" and "Last month". The cuts didn't happen today.

Last month, the Weather Channel cut about 7% of its workforce. NBCUniversal owns an interest in the channel, along with Bain Capital and Blackstone Group.

The 6 degrees of Bain!

Particularly if the management that's fired them isn't using the last election putting a scary black man who might raise their business overheads slightly in the white house as an excuse.

Did the networks threaten those employees with being fired if they didn`t vote a certain way?

And, the networks aren`t blaming the President.....like the man-child coal-mine owner did...........who is blaming Obama for the fact that natural gas is cheaper than and replacing coal, as a strategic energy source......

He`ll fire more miners if Obama wins my ass......He`s losing business cause he`s a loser.....not because the President anti-coal.

Is anyone surprised that you cons are clueless about how vicious and vile threatening folk`s livelyhoods is,blackmailinng them for their votes....?   This cluelessness is reaching boi levels....

subspaceseven -> RE: Time to boycott NBC & MSNBC (11/14/2012 9:43:49 AM)

I would think to boycott them simply because they keep putting Trump in their news, and still call it a news story....

Reach reach reach...you lost.....America won....you are free to leave the country if you so please..since it's sooo bad...then leave...

tazzygirl -> RE: Time to boycott NBC & MSNBC (11/14/2012 9:50:29 AM)

"America" didnt win or lose. "America" didnt have a choice. Its citizens did, and some "won" some "lost". We are all still its citizens, at this point.

subspaceseven -> RE: Time to boycott NBC & MSNBC (11/14/2012 10:14:42 AM)

Yes, I get that, the country spoke, hence the country won....a country is made up of the people who live there and the people who live there spoke, who ever won would have been the country's win...though not seen through all eyes the same way...

With all the voter suppression going on, the voice of the people won...Hence the first line..."We the People" the people are this country, for all it's good and bad.

tazzygirl -> RE: Time to boycott NBC & MSNBC (11/14/2012 10:16:28 AM)

The people did speak.... many more for than against. Its time we left the arena of winners and losers and got back to the business of running this country, no?
