I had to call my mistress be her full name and not shorten it. None of this Ma'am or anything like that. I don't believe in all of this so called "protocol/s". If you need to be called a certain thing "maam,sir, miss, master, mistress etc etc to feel in control, then you are not in control.

I also don't believe in using capitals for dom/mes. Another load of crap imo.

Wow, you don't understand much do you? I'm shuddering to think I probably made posts like this a few years ago when I was brand new. You seriously cannot think of a single reason why someone might want to use an honorific to refer to their partner other than crappy dominance? You need to think harder.

So, you don't believe in protocol, but yet you did it anyway? Do you not see how "I had to call my mistress by her full name and not shorten it" IS protocol? She may not have wanted to be called "Mistress" by you, but she still had a "certain thing" then you were required to call her.

Ah, irony of the ill-informed...I love it!

In one of my relationships, my Domme spoke French, and would use various French words to either praise or scold me (and I didn't and still don't have a good enough ear of French to pick up anymore than the nicer sounding ones). The only one I remember being able to pick out was "petit" and "mignon", and those were the only ones I could look up (she wouldn't translate them for me, hehe). Other than that, I couldn't really spell out the others, so I don't remember them.

But isn't the full name thing still a type of "protocol"? Also, you sound like a hipster, but with BDSM.

He calls Alandra love and me baby.

She and I call him my Lord and when that is not appropriate then it is my Love. The one thing we don't do is call him by his name.

It depends on the general mood of the moment. Some of the nicknames just pop up for a few days and then the appeal wears off. If they are having a crossdressing/sissy moment I like to convert their masculine name into a feminine one (bob might be barbara for instance...or "kate" which is "short for bob", if you are in on that joke). I have one sub-slave I've affectionately nicknamed "skippy" because he (HAD) a very bad stuttering problem when first I met him (I sent him to speech therapy---OMFG, something his parents/school should have done DECADES ago---and he now has a BEAUTIFUL deep speaking voice when he focusses on his speech). Other nicknames I've used on My boys are sissypants, sissybuns (these are big tough guys, that's why it's funny), brat, etc. If the situation calls for something stronger (they've done something stupid or detrimental to themselves) it's usually something like DUMBASS (in My best Red Foreman immitation), but it has no bite because behind the word they know I'm concerned about them.

Since nobody can seem to PRONOUNCE My name I just don't tell anyone what it is anymore. It cuts down on My having to murder people, like that receptionist at the spine center who said, "Oh, I thought you had just spelled your name wrong on the form."

Well, I thought if I said "I call my partner by her name" people would go "huh, you do know where you are???"....

I also said all the crap protocols like sir,master,ma;am whatever other crap people demand to be called to show their authority, or feel they should call their partner (happy now?) to feel their submissive. I think its all nonsense.

Also, at the person who said something about being new, check the join dates on the left hand side....

I almost always call my Master "Daddy". If we are at fetish events, I call him Master, and sometimes when he fucking me I call him Master because I do not call him Daddy when we are doing anything sexual.

He usually calls me "Kitty" (because we are into petplay, and I am his kitten). He also re-named me at my collaring ceremony, so he sometimes calls me by that name, but usually he calls me kitty or hun or babygirl.

Around family or his co-workers we go by our birth certificate names.
