The movie had depth of character, plot and the screenplay was perfect. The best Bond movie ever. Don't miss this one.
Skyfall

Remember the villain in No Country for Old Men (Javier Bardem)? Well, he is the latest and perhaps the greatest James Bond villain ever. Daniel Craig was no slouch and is the only other Bond I have liked since Sean Connery.

I was shocked to discover that it actually makes you care about the people and that there is character development. Not your typical Bond movie.

Number 1 movie in the US right now.

When I watched it, I said I haven't seen a Bond movie that good since Goldfinger. Turns out the reason it plays out so nicely is that the villain isn't some made scientist trying to take over the world, it is jut one pissed of ex-agent that was betrayed trying to kill M. So it has a personal and touchy feely angel that Bond movies haven't had since the older ones.

One of the worst films I have ever watched folderol - infact i haven't saw the last 30 minutes did it get good then?
The bond movies with what's his name in it have all been very poor, but i fair enjoyed "layer cake with d craig" now that cost 5 million as opposed to 200 million pissed away on garbage
I can think of not one good thingie about this movie.

My indepth critical analysis “ the dawgs bollocks”

But it has 8.6 on imdb i think - I don’t know how this is possible

^ Amen to that. It is refreshing to see Daniel Craig as Bond, especial in Skyfall where he is fallible and endearing.

And I LOVE that Javier is the bad guy. I fell in love with his acting in Before Night Falls, again in The Sea Inside. No Country for Old Men is just one of our fav movies. It's on the DVD loop at our house.

1-Layer Cake was good-the book is even better
2-Craig is the best Bond. Period. Remember when everyone freaked about the "blonde Bond?" Yeah, I don't hear much complaining now.

Yes.

I've seen his 3 movies be critized as trying to emulate the Bourne movies, which is bull.

Two more with Craig, & I've seen some say the next Bond will be black...

No they weren't.
Timothy Dalton was great in that role (and actually looked the part more than Daniel Craig does, if you've read any Flemming), it didn't hurt that License To Kill was the nastiest Bond film made between From Russia With Love and Casino Royale either.
(I also quite liked George Lazenby, but I know that one's a lost cause...)

I went out for a drink last night, and the publican told me that he'd thrown out the villain from Skyfall earlier in the evening.
"Javier Bardem?" I asked, annoyed that I'd missed him as my Queen would have loved it if I could have got his autograph for her.
"No," the publican said. "He's welcome to come back when he's sobered up..."

Let's just say that your opinions vary greatly from what most hardcore Bond fans believe. Including one actor who played James Bond in multiple movies.

The hardcore Bond fans who were complaining about Casino Royale because it didn't have enough gimmicks, quips and explosions in it, you mean?

ANYone that would prefer a guy, with no obvious physical conditioning, nancing around in a jumpsuit, over Daniel Craig.......as a super cool, tough, secret agent killer of Her Royal Highness, has no opinion worth listening to!
