TieMeInKnottss -> Fetish Photography (11/16/2012 10:52:40 AM)

I was approached by someone to model for fetish photographs. Now, I am cautious by nature, so I did my due diligence on his business, studio (it is close to where I used to live), and I have seen his work posted so I know he does beautiful work &, from what I can see, his business is legit (hey, I check licenses, sex predator reports, BBB reports, Angie's List. I even ran a full background check on my previous Dom before I met him!)

I have asked some questions (fees, who own the pics, who is present at the shoot, if I can bring a "chaperone" to the studio during the shoot...) but would like to know what other info I should ask. I am not as naive as some people, so I know not to fall for the line "I want you to model for me" from any non-professional. I am NOT the type to be stopped on the street to model so I was already a little cynical but I am also tempted. Any constructive input is welcome. I have not decided what to do but, if I do, I have the perfect 6'6" built-like-linebacker male chaperone available!

Make sure no dogs are there!

No, you sound like you're covering your bases pretty well, and they shouldn't have a problem with you having someone with you.

I am a fetish model and producer / website owner.

I have profiles up on various sites, when I am approached about modeling or I approach other women about doing videos with me.

I always make sure to include the following:

Will they be doing photographs, video or both?
Pay?
What will they be used for?
I ask for a link to their site or online portfolio.
Location of the shoot.
Date / time of the shoot
Who will be present at the shoot?
What content they want (specific details) I ONLY do what I agree upon prior to the shoot.
What type of wardrobe and if you will need to supply it.
If it happens to be a b/g or xxx I ask to see current test for the other model before I am booked.
I also require condoms.

I understand wanting to take someone with you, but would you take someone to a reg. job? This is a paying gig. Escorts (what you called a chaperon) can be distracting to the model and put her in a different head space. If they do come they wait down stairs.

If they are fetish producers / photographers I would suggest looking on Model Mayhem, FL, Sexyjobs ect and find them and see what they post, reviews on them ect.

I will also say, that a fetish model who has been in the business for years that I make a good amount of money off the GWC (guys with cameras). These are not large production companies but they are not creepers either.

If you would like to ask anything privately feel free to hit me up on the other side.

Good luck!!!

No advice but I will say this: how exciting!

I'd love to have the guts to do this if someone asked me. (Well, someone legitimate, I've had offers from... well, you know how this site works).

Lil Squaw-you live pretty close to me.. I actually grew up on that side of Balto. I am going to send you a message

@Level--hahaha!!! I had NOT thought about that type of condition!

LaTigresse -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/16/2012 11:49:14 AM)

I am a photographer and have been approached to do various......interesting photos. As a woman, when people I don't know contact me for that sort of thing, I clarify that I will be bringing a badass male assistant. That tends to end the conversation......which doesn't hurt my feelings at all.

That being said, I wouldn't be offended if a model wanted someone to come along.

DesFIP -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/16/2012 9:31:46 PM)

Ask for references. They should be able to give you references from people on Model Mayhem or fetlife. I would be cautious about people who cannot give references. Fetish modeling does not automatically mean you will be having sex with someone, clarify that.

And ask about what exactly they are doing. Will there be marks?

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/17/2012 3:50:27 AM)

If they have an established website, THAT is your references.
Models come and go, just because I can reach them today doesn't mean I can reach them a month or years from now.

DesFIP -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/17/2012 9:12:01 PM)

The ones who make their living at this aren't going to disappear in three months.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/19/2012 4:40:09 AM)

All models dont use this as a primary source of income and sometimes life just happens.
Plus some producers or photographers only use amateurs.

Not only that but what model wants some unknown person to be contacting them out of the blue about a job they did?

Why should a producer or photographer jump through hoops to give you money. Either you want to the gig or you don't. BTW.... not wanting to jump through YOUR hoops doesn't mean they aren't legit it just means they don't want to be bothered because there are other women both pro and amateurs out here who will gladly take that spot and cash.

Ask if you can see a copy of the agreement/waiver they will ask you to sign and make sure you agree with everything :)

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Fetish Photography (11/19/2012 4:36:41 PM)

You can also add write up your own agreement for content trades or stipulation for use.
If you want a sample of one I can send you one.

I was too.

They were looking for an old, short, fat, balding man and I said "LOOK!!!! I'm not just some fucking pinup boy that you can get your rocks off on you know!!!!".

I told her.

(People think they can fucking take advantage of me....they got another thing coming!).
