Thanks for posting that, Calandra. I was armed with the same letter, and was looking for the appropriate place here to post it. To me, it doesn't sound negative toward our lifestyle, at all. The first part of the movie is about a consensual relationship where he suggests the idea to her and then she thinks about it a long time before she agrees, but then how much "time" can you show in a movie? The last part shows how it can all go wrong when put into the hands of the wrong people. I think it has the potential to open up a lot of discussion and opportunities for education of the public - or those who go to see it. But just like "Secretary" (aside- it irks me when "The" is added to the title when it is clearly not there lol) People picked out the negatives - even in our lifestyle - such as the fact that she came from a mental institution and had the self-destruction problem. To me, that was incidental to the movie and just showed that we ALL have some flow - we may just not all be cutters. But it surely showed the need both of them had for the power exchange relationship. And yes, she even revealed at the end that she could be a bit of a SAM! lol (Funny, we don't hear that term used much anymore.) Anyway, I think The Pet could be good for us and needs to be seen. The "comments" section on the website doesn't work at the moment, but I send my comments to the e-mail address. Carolsea
