SayangKitty -> How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 5:57:33 PM)

So my Dom and I just started a M/s relationship, which is new to both of us (we have been together a year now)...and we are really enjoying it and is wonderful...but how can I hide the marks? Any tricks or just wear lots of covering clothes?

OsideGirl -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 6:07:00 PM)

That would depend on the type of mark and if it's something that concerns you, you should probably discuss that marks only go under clothing covered areas.

SayangKitty -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 6:08:15 PM)

That's the problem...I change in a locker room everyday.

MAINEiacMISTRESS -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 6:12:44 PM)

???????!

How extensive are these marks you are talking about, and how long are they lasting that you need to worry about how to "hide" them?

He really shouldn't be hitting you anywhere that they would show while wearing normal long sleeved shirt and slacks.

Is there breaking of the skin or severe bruising?

MORE INFO PLEASE.

P.S. Regarding bruise prevention, refrain from taking aspirin or other blood thinners a couple days before a session. Taking aspirin for example can thin the blood enough to cause bruising from a too-tight hand grip (leaving actual "hand" marks)

This is something you need to discuss with him at greater length. Most dominants think ahead & consider things like public locker rooms for work, doctor appointments, time around family. Part of having toys is properly caring for them!

If he knew a year ago locker room was an issue & toilet stalls aren't an option...he is the one you should be discussing this with

Few things - we've been dating a year, just discovered M/s recently and we both love it. Probably should have clarified lol. Also, everything is consensual, and we have good aftercare. It's mostly the back and tush area. It's not a massive deal, but tips are appreciated nonetheless. I have already found that soaking in an Epsom salt bath helps a bit and was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

Back in my world is a never ever because of location of kidneys & liver. Witch hazel, vit E & higher iron diet (NOT iron suppliments) spinach, liver, kale.

Is there a way to wear granny panties? Dress for the gym/ job at home?

Has he got experience or training with the impliments he's using? Different floggers with the same wrist flick can cause different damage (like missing & hitting back). My take on this is its all fun & games until someone gets seriously injured by ignorance.

Please realize blood in urine or stool for instance is going to be a much bigger red flag for you

I recently had to have a conversation about this subject. I had no idea that I had bruises when I went in for waxing. I was embarassed, she was worried I was going to blame her.

We talked about it and agreed that I would inform him of appointments, etc. so that bruising is avoided. Communicate with him.

Again....what type of marks?

Knife? Needle? Whip? Bruises?

SayangKitty -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 6:48:22 PM)

Thanks folks! He does have remarkable control, he has done a lot of legit martial arts training from a young age that included weapons and some anatomy and pressure points, and his first concern is my well being :) so little worry there
The types of marks are bruising from belt/hand and scratches (and, yes, he cleans his finger nails well before and treats the scratches after)

OsideGirl -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/19/2012 6:53:52 PM)

Not much you can do about scratches since they're a long open wound.

For the bruising try Arnica. You can get it tablet form or as an ointment. It works wonders.

Thanks folkses!

The other thing, assuming this isn't work or family, is that you can just smile at the person who asks and say you had a great time, thanks for asking. Which should shut them up.

If it's your doctor, they need to know. In case something goes wrong, you don't want your partner in jail. You telling your doctor that you're into consensual s & m ahead of time would be helpful.

littlewonder -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/20/2012 11:50:12 AM)

I don't hide mine. It's just not important to me. I rarely get asked about them. Most people don't even notice because they're too wrapped up in their own lives to really care. If for some reason I am asked I just tell them we like to play rough and leave it at that.

Ways to cover up....long sleeves, pants, thick makeup (there's lots of brands on the market that are made to cover), use arnica gel to promote quick healing, ask your Master to only hit you in areas that you can easily cover....my only suggestions.

ContainedJoy -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/21/2012 12:44:57 AM)

I don't usually, but when I do, a little bit of concealer and some extra clothing goes a long way.

SacredDepravity -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/21/2012 12:02:12 PM)

If it is all to the back of your body, you could try just keeping that side facing a wall. Additionally, the old high school gym locker room tricks minimize how much and how long you are expose. Practice slipping off one shirt while sliding on the other and the same with pants. Unless the outfit has to be sterile when you finish, this should keep things under wraps better. If it is a huge issue, talk to him and confine the play times and intensiities as needed by your work schedule. Arnica will shorten healing time. Vitamin E will shorten healing time. Aside from these suggestions, either just copping to what you like or changing at home seem to be the only other options.

OP - you could always look somewhat offended and ask in a rather offended tone "Why do you ask?"

You don't owe anyone an explanation. If they persist, ask them if they want a blow by blow account of your sex life. I'm thinking that would shut them up quickly.

rhymeswithcupid -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/21/2012 5:06:11 PM)

I have a lot of scars. Most people don't notice or pretend not to notice but if anyone does ask I usually just laugh and tell them I experimented with masturbating with a porcupine. Its such a crazy answer that they usually either crack up laughing or back away slowly and never speak to me again. Really, its none of their business anyway.

mnottertail -> RE: How do you hide the marks? (11/21/2012 5:07:54 PM)

I went to your profile to see if you take it in the mouth or ass, appears you are too vanilla for that, no scars on either.
