ORIGINAL: LadyPact Hello, Aswad. These are just a few thoughts of My own. Thanks, I appreciate it. And I'm aware that there are problems prosecuting rape successfully. What I was wondering, was whether the police, DAs, courts, etc., make this more difficult for kinksters than others? Where I live, it seems more common for police to assume rape unless the defendant can prove consent, and moreso for things that might be seen as particularly shameful or stigmatizing for the sub. I've seen cases where police have moved forward with cases where subs say openly that there was consent and allege that police have tried to push them into going along with that (which, if true, is abuse by police if we're dealing with cases where consent was present, as seems to be the case in some of these instances). Just trying to get a handle on the differences. IWYW, — Aswad.
