In every post it seems there is slave this and this slave. It kinda make me wonder if there is anything of value that i as just a submissive can add to the conversations. This is in no way putting down the Owners of slaves, slaves or even my self as i know how smart i am. It's just thatas s submissive in a D/s relationship, i often don't know how to relate in conversations geared toward M/s or if my input would even be of value. i love this board and would like to be more active on it

liljoy, I think a majority of the poster's here identify with being a submissive. Yes, there are a few whom consider themselves slaves. I think the majority though are submissives. Regardless, since when does a person have nothing worth while to say? I've never met one yet. Even when I disagree they still have something worth hearing. Hope that helps.

liljoy -- i am a submissive and participate in he boards a lot. I post my feelings and thoughts on a lot of different subjects even if it is something i do not have first hand knowledge of. i "try" to always put in JMO - Just my opinion so that is all it is. i am sure there are many who read it or just skip over my post but that is there option and mine is to post what i feel and that is why the forum is here. There are some topics i do not post to for different reasons but most of the time either it isn't interesting to me or i know absolutely nothing about it to even form a opinion. Don't be discouraged, i for one would love to see you posting more and interested in your views. JMO Be Well ~jenn~

From the opposite side, I don't look for or desire or hope to train "slaves". To me it doesn't imply the relationship dynamics that I want to create, as to me a "slave" is one who stays there beyond even their will to stay, they listen because they have no choice but to listen, they are owned property. To me a submissive is submissive to me because they choose to be submissive to me, they stay because the choose to stay and cause I choose to keep them.

Well i don't ever think my post are very interesting, or my replies ever sensible, but i post anyway lol. Now if i can just figure out how to classify myself...submissive? slave? vanilla submissive? lol guess i'll find out one of these days.

The whole phrase "just a submissive" might be some insight as to why you feel you don't have anything to contribute. Value who you are and the path you have chosen, hon. So what if you don't identify as a slave? A slave is no better than a submissive, just a different kind of person. Don't undercut yourself because you're an apple, not an orange. Fire

Submissives aren't stupid or mindless; they're just submissive. A submissive can have as much to contribute to a conversation as anyone else. In fact, submissives know a lot about something doms don't: what it's like to be submissive.

One of the hardest things people tend to have a problem with is learning to understand that someone disagreeing with you isn't a personal slam against you.
