This is one of the consequences of plastic surgery: fraud. Clearly this man was wronged by his lying wife.
Plastic surgery and dental improvements ought to be prohibited - or at least limited to the medically necessary, especially for males. (A male lying to a female is a thousand times worse than a female lying to a male.)
This case is a very strong argument for exposing ugly children to the elements until they die. It is what should have been done to the woman when she herself was born. Or alternatively she ought to have been disinherited by her parents and condemned to a convent for life.
Such ugliness is what I expect in populations in which the females are forced to be strictly monogamous, though, so I wonder about the sexual mores of the concerned population.
In principle, however, I do not object to an ugly woman having offspring (hopefully a limited number). The onus in my opinion ought to be on the male. In this exceptional case, though, the female was very ugly indeed.
