Of fellow subs/slaves  i would like to know how are you marked, how do you feel about some sort of mark of ownership other than a collar?

Of owners i would like to ask how do you mark your slaves? What type if any of permanent marking would you employ? What kind of reactions has this drawn from your perspective subs/slaves?

I'd enjoy employing a tattoo as a mark of connection at some point.  I'd want something very aesthetic and precise so branding wouldn't work.  If I were ever with a master again who wanted branding, I'd accept that though.

But it's not a symbol that has any special note to me, so unless there's some push in the future, I doubt I'll ever get any permanent marks.

(Edited to add : Tamer is correct in his comment about the pain of tattoos being a bit over rated.  I expected it to be nearly unbearable when I got my first, but was addicted to the sensation by the time that trip in the chair was finished.

My cubbikins is addicted to tattooing. Just the sound of the gun makes him zone... We have a friend who is a Tat artist and he does "temporary tats" where he draws a design into your skin without any ink... the blood rushes to the surface of the skin and you have the "tat" for a few days to a few weeks only... very cool for those who love the sound and feel, but not the permanence...

It's very addicting.  The 'temporary' thing your friend does for those who don't like permanence would never suit me.  I wanna be able to look at it Years from now as well, not just for a few days or a week.  If I'm not careful, I'm going to end up covered in ink with at least full sleeves and back, if not a full body suit.  (which, come to think of it, wouldn't necessarily be a Bad thing.... )

JAROD -> RE: Marking your sub/slave (6/18/2006 2:05:16 AM)

I've never done it or seen it done, but the idea of permanetly marking another person.  Especially with a brand does it for me.  I've done it with cattle I wonder if their is much diffrence.

bratty64 -> RE: Marking your sub/slave (6/18/2006 3:33:23 PM)

i have a tattoo of a bluerose entwined in cuffs  that i have for about 3 yrs now, it was  a mark my ex Master had me do for Him...... i wouldnt change it for anything, it means alot to me

BreakMeShakeMe -> RE: Marking your sub/slave (6/18/2006 6:16:46 PM)

I have a tat from my first Master... though when I get down.. I look at it... think back of the memories... and I so miss him. But then I break out of mood and sort of get pissed about the tat period. I won't say I won't ever do it again... but it's not on my list of to do things.... LOL hell I even refused to marry my 2nd Master... 6 years... 2 kids.. no marriage... sort of funny how we do things...and then don't. But like I said.. never know... another may make me want to be branded in some way shape or form again... time will tell.....

(Fast Reply)

I mentioned this in a different thread, but the idea of a tattoo had always felt "off limits" for me.  I have never liked them personally, and being the cynical being that I was when Master found me, I firmly believed that nothing lasts forever, therefore I will not wear someone's mark who is only going to leave later on.

So when Master said he wanted to mark me as his, I gave it a lot of thought.  I was allowed months to contemplate and process the idea, and to then share my thoughts about it with him.  I am a different person than the broken girl he found.  I am the first girl he has ever felt the desire to mark.  He wanted me branded, but knowing my lack of pain threshhold, did not want to put me through that kind of pain. Plus, he wanted something with color and shading.  He considers his mark on me to be my brand, and so do I.

I knew he wanted me marked, and I knew that I could not and would not deny him this.  I was grateful he allowed me so much time to adjust to the idea.  I realized the importance of such a mark, and what it symbolized for both him and for me.  I took it as a huge commitment from him, and an expression of how he views me.  He is realistic, and would not mark someone he did not intend to keep forever.  If a day should come that he decides it is best to let me go, I will still look at my mark with gratitude, as it will remind me of the abyss from which he pulled me, and of the life and happiness he has enabled me to experience.  Wherever our path leads us, I will be grateful to him forever, as his impact on me has been profound.

He created a design which reflects his persona and my slavery, through his initials.  With the enhancement of a tattoo artist, it came out quite nicely.  I wear it on my right flank, and every day I look at it, and I am grateful for it.

Any chance we can see a photo of the design?

I'm all for marks of ownership... at the right time as the relationship has progressed over the years and years.  I think a lot of times people tend to rush into talking about marks of ownership and rush into doing them.  My labia piercings which I got for my owner about three or four years ago (I can't quite remember) we talked about for a good two years or so before hand.  My brand which we just did last year we talked about for about four or five years before we are both ready.  Now that may seem like to long for some people, but I'm a huge fan of taking it slow and letting things progress as they will.  And even when you are ready, to still wait a little bit while.  All you have to loose is time in terms of the committment.

In terms of collars I view them as overly used and under valued and largely a symbol of going steady with no real actual view towards the future or committment.  They come they go there's no actual physical mark left so its much easier for people to use, I find.

C~

I have a Burner friend who has a tattoo on his neck done in
ultra-violet ink; it is only visible under black light.  Has anyone
else here tried this kind of tattoo?

Did some research into it. According to my artist, they aren't sure about the safety of the ink, and there's a decent chance it's carcinogenic.

realstrangefun -> RE: Marking your sub/slave (6/22/2006 3:40:28 PM)
