What I do not understand is why is the other side's position so opaque? As much as I am pro-choice, vote that way, donate that way, and agree with the characterization of "war on women", I STILL can grasp, at least dimly, what's going on in the minds of the pro-life folks. The other thing I don't really understand is why folks don't understand that democracy depends on compromise. The end result of a win/lose posture is civil war. Don't you think it'd make more sense to try to empathize with those who's opinions differ from yours. And from that bridge of empathy then seek compromise?

And the age of viability is that compromise.

Dont judge me because I sin differently than you.
If you want it sugar coated, dont ask me what i think! It would violate TOS.

I'm pro-life but I also respect a woman's right to freedom over choices concerning her own body.

I'm not conflicted, because I'm vehemently against the death penalty and capital punishment. Every single person occupying a cell on Death Row is a viable human being.

I also believe in karma and reincarnation and for me life begins not at conception, but at an indetermined point after death.

Yes I believe in the spiritual, the supernatural and such. In four and a half decades of living I have yet to witness, or experience, one instance where an inanimate object has successfully managed to defy the laws of physics and Einstein's theories on mass energy equivalence.

Conception is a lengthy process, which is why there is such a phenomenon as pregnancy and gestation.

I am not prepared to accept that a miscarriage is an embryo or foetus committing suicide.

Until that what results from sperm and an egg shows an independent will to live and is deemed capable of surviving gestation, it cannot be regarded as a viable human being.
