That's one of my favorite too - what an odd duet though, but it works beautifully.

I love the mix of the old and new (the old and new music as well as Crosby and Bowie).

It also has a wonderful message of peace. A sentiment that one can endorse whether one is a believer or not. [:)]

Another must for the holidays is The Christmas Song written
by Mel Torme and Bob Wells.  It was written during a blistering
hot day in the San Fernando Valley.  As Torme told the story Wells
was writing stuff on a notepad by his piano just trying to think cool
thoughts during the heat.

Torme said he thought it could be a song so he wrote the music and
some of the lyrics.  In an interview Torme said; Then I did one of the
smartest things I have ever done in my life.  I showed it to Nat King Cole.

Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song

I can't stomach anything "traditional" when it comes to Christmas...
Not the songs, the music, the whole nativity thing, those friggin god-awful carols, Santa and even the food.

And WTF has Carol done to deserve such an accolade, huh??
Poor girl.

I have never understood why so many are [sm=ballchain.gif] to the whole sickly scenario. [:'(]

I have to agree except I love the food.
