That I agree with. I heard someone... and Im thinking it was on Fox... lol.. yes.. of all places.. who was saying they believed it would come down to an almost last minute agreement that rates will be raised... but Obama would have to make cut concessions. The British guy on there.. dont know his name.

Hardly the same thing. And you have yet to tell me what Boehner has in mind.

You do understand You are wasting your time....the tip off is the adult way he has of referring to our President.
Seriously Tazzy,do you really think you can have a rational conversation with someone who behaves in such childish bullshit ?
You are way smarter than that [:)]

Speaking of childish bullshit:

quote:

Let's be honest about this...I use the term "tea bagger" with the exact same intent that many on here use the term "leftist"
When that changes.....I will change.

Your opinions of what is and is not childish bullshit are irrelevant...

-SD-

Lol,so you are equating my use of the term "tea bagger" with your childish need to call your President bullshit names like "Oblamer" and "Obummer"
"Irrelevant".....lol
Keep trying to tell yourself you are mature, informed and capable of contributing to adult conversations.
Someone might come along who buys that line of bullshit.

Did I say I did?

I asked exactly what was in the GOP plan.

You gave me talking points that were useless from a useless source.

I asked for examples of those cuts.

You come back to bitch about it not being enough.

You have no clue what they are proposing to cut.

Neither does anyone else.

And yet you felt justified to post the following tripe...

quote:

Frankly I think the House Republicans need to just pass their proposal as a bill, and wash their hands of the entire matter until Oblamer and the Senate are willing to deal in good faith. If Republicans pass a something in The House, it becomes the Democrats problem, and they will have to deal with the Republicans as they would for any act of legislature, or take the blame for whatever happens.

Way to go. Pass something... anything.. as long as you dont know what it is they are passing. Real smart move there.

You expect intelligent replies from someone who can't spell our presidents name? Good luck with that one.

And on topic....no clue what their plan is but I know the democrats won't like it no matter what it is, just like the republicans won't like the democrats plan.

And the only type of plan that can work, that can possibly be big enough to deal with the issues at hand should have both sides walking out of the room grumbling about everything they have compromised on,all that they hold dear that they had to move on.

..... Just exactly what is in it?

Want to know what really pisses me off about all of this BS? If a President, a Senator, or a Representative, or some combination of the 3 has found efficiencies that would save money, why the fuck hasn't that been enacted? Why are the efficiencies being used as pawns in negotiations?

I believe Obama stated that his Administration had identified some billions of dollars of savings by making Medicare more efficient. Why hasn't those efficiencies been codified immediately? Why is it that spending cuts (or reductions of expected future spending increases) don't happen when the revenue increases take place? For instance, how is it that part of the entitlement reform is reductions in reimbursements for Medicare/Medicaid procedures, yet, Doc Fix Bills are passed almost religiously?

This isn't limited to one party, either. Both parties do the same shit.

tazzygirl -> RE: GOP budget proposal.... (12/5/2012 10:36:45 AM)

I agree... both parties are. But only one is willing to even spell out some of these problems. The other just says.. unspecified. I would love for them both to spell it out.

SilverMark -> RE: GOP budget proposal.... (12/5/2012 1:05:45 PM)

The one thing that both sides are betting on, that won't happen unless an agreement is met, increased revenues based on economic recovery.
The Republicans hope for economic recovery the President's plan help
s through spending some additionla funds from increased revenues in areas such as infrastructure, continued reduction in payroll taxes, and breaks for small business capitol expendetures.
* $95 billion to extend the payroll tax cut one year.

* $30 billion to extend unemployment insurance benefits a year.

* $50 billion to fund infrastructure projects like roads and bridges.

* $25 billion for other short-term programs, including extending a tax deduction that lets businesses accelerate depreciation on equipment purchases.

The administration also would include measures to make it easier for homeowners to refinance their mortgages.
