It's too small to see.  Go to www.microsoft.com and search on the name of the file in the knowledge base.  It should give you a list of articles that refer to that file, and any problems associated with it for your operating system.

The Microsoft link refers to the latest version of the windows installer application (3.1 v2). It is simply the way windows reads and knows what to do with ???.msi files (XP program install files).

It's likely the windows installer update was initiated by the camera cd download/install and not part of the windows cleaner?

What it really sounds like is that you logged out of windows before shutting down the computer. If you click the gold key it logs the user off, and if windows reboots with no logged on user it usually goes to the select user page.

speaking of that- there are some odd files popping up. If in doubt, avoid it.

Well when I log on I have to click the lil chess piece Icon that is my window's icon before desk top and all that will load. And I never had to before. So it's annoying and odd.
