And in fact, didn't block a one, so ......... entirely; in your usage of it, is doing work it should not be assigned to do.

Moonhead -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:42:09 AM)

So which humongous spending increases did they block under the rule of the Chimp, then?
I must have missed those, particularly when the Chimp was taking out foreign loans to pay for the invasion of Iraq...

lovmuffin -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:43:19 AM)

What ????

mnottertail -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:44:05 AM)

They actually fell all over themselves appropriating it off book, so they could claim fiscal responsiblitiy while getting tough on like milk money.

I missed them too. And that's just another part of the problem, republicans acting like democrats. I wasn't for that freakin war either. Either way, one way or another both parties seem to spend money we don't have.

Moonhead -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:47:34 AM)

Yep.

So, tell me something I don't know. Yep, that would fall under actions not matching the rhetoric.

Like what?

Come on... you can say it.. I know you can.

Republicans acting like... politicians... its not that hard of a word.

Moonhead -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:55:12 AM)

A more apt word springs to mind, but there's plenty who wouldn't like me using that one.
[;)]

tazzygirl -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:56:52 AM)

Im sure many words might come to mind. However, there is no difference. Democrats, Republicans and Independents are all politicians. Very few would I expect not to act like one.

Moonhead -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 8:58:01 AM)

I know this, you know this.
Some of the GOP party faithful just can't get their heads around such and unpleasant concept, though.

They are not all the same but sadly I think most are and will have been sold down the river.

Its not a preference... its reality. I truly wish you would look around those blinders you sometimes wear.

But there is supposed to be a difference and some republicans preach all time about the perils of overspending yet when it comes down to it they go along with their so called opponents. That is why I say they act more like democrats.

Because they are getting their pockets lined. You think lobbyists and corporations care about what letter is after their name? You are merely proving what I am saying. They are not Republicans.. they are politicians. The same can be said of the Blue Dog Democrats... they arent Democrats... they are politicians.

Welcome to hypocrisy 101.

Its corruption pure and simple. So what do you suppose is up with that ? I have a theory but I'm not going to put on my tin foil hat today, the shit just goes too deep.

Maybe the Kenyan would have got somewhere trying to get the economy back under control if it hadn't been for the GOP elements of the Congress blocking everything he's tried since he was elected, of course.

Maybe if, MAYBE IF, GOP elements of the Congress had controlled either the House or Senate during the first two years after the Kenyan usurped the presidency they could have actually blocked something he tried. But don't let that fact stop you from blaming the GOP, of course.

Maybe the usurper would have gotten somewhere trying to get the economy back under control if it hadn't been for NOT ONE SINGLE DEMOCRATIC SENATOR in the DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED SENATE voting for any, Any, ANY, Federal buget proposal during the past three years and, moreover, UNANIMOUSLY VOTING AGAINST the usurper's 2013 budget proposal 99-0 and making the two-year tally on the usurper's budget proposals a UNANIMOUS 196-0 AGAINST HIM BY HIS OWN PARTY. But don't let that fact stop you from blaming the GOP, of course.

Maybe the usurper would have gotten somewhere trying to get the economy back under control during his first term in office if, IF, he had heeded his own contemptuous opinion of his predecessor during his 2008 campaign...on July 3, 2008, candidate Obama said that [Bush] adding $4 trillion in debt was "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic.". Compared to his predecessor, the usurper has added almost twice as much in debt in less than half the time. But don't let that fact stop you from blaming the GOP, of course.

Maybe the usurper could get somewhere preventing our economy from going over the fiscal cliff if, IF, he would accept the same basic deal he campaigned on in 2012...$2.50 in spending cuts commensurate with each $1.00 in increased revenue from the 1%. However, as soon as the GOP effectively offered the same deal to the usurper he effectively turned the deal on its head...now saying he wants almost $4.00 in increased revenue from the 1% right now for each $1.00 in spending cuts at some point in the future, PLUS an additional $50 BILLION in new "stimulus" funds, PLUS unilateral authority to raise the debt ceiling in violation of the U.S. Constitution. But don't let those facts stop you from blaming the GOP, of course.

mnottertail -> RE: Jim DeMint to leave Senate (12/7/2012 10:14:51 AM)

All those are factless and have been proven so.

So, we have only not had mountainous debt because the teabaggers didnt control the legislature for 2 years?  what about the 30 years prior?

Obamas budget never went to the floor of the house in its entirety and without shiteating attached comments by teabaggers.

That, among all the other drivel.
