Here's something that should make you all 'happy and secure' on your next hotel stay....

What gets me, is the corporate heads and the lock company knew about this for months and did....NOTHING! They put the public at risk, gaining a profit, while folks didnt know anything was wrong. I would have to say this is how journalism should behave. Its minus the sensationism common on FOX News, while informing the public of a very easily made device that can by-pass the security measures on their hotel door.

The company that makes these locks by the millions have offered a little plastic cover over the 'breach' area. Unfortunately, a 12 year old with a screw driver could easily pop it out and use a similar device that the security expert used in the video and he's inside your hotel room. They will however (Onity), charge the hotels an additional amount of money to upgrade the locks (and who REALLY pays for that cost?). Corporate Greed at its best!
