timeoutgurlie -> Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 12:39:17 AM)

Here's what I'm after:

The *only* posts to be made in this thread are positive ones.  Don't try and be slick with some sarcasm either, be nice and mean it dammit [>:] lol

There's been so much negativity on here ever since I joined, really.  So, seeing as how I believe greatly in the power of making good things happen by being positive and thinking of a goal, my goal is for everyone here to post *something* good about another member.

In the negative topics, mentioning anyone's username is strongly discouraged, but here I'm encouraging everyone to be specific.  Either someone off the top of your head or you can even just say something about someone you see post in this topic...assuming anyone does, of course [:-] lol

I'll start.

gooddogbenji - This was the first person to reply to my CM virgin topic, a question about the tabs on CM.  Also, after reading many topics, I notice their posts are usually pretty entertaining.  Helpful AND great sense of humor.  Seems like a generally cool person [:D]

stef, LuckyAlbatross, proudsub - All helpful people who take the time to use the search and find relevant past topics for members with questions or concerns, on top of giving great advice and POV's.  stef & LA are two I find ridiculously funny in a sarcastic kind of way, which just so happens to be my favorite kind of funny.  Always a fun read.  proudsub, someone who's just...so hard to put into words really, all of her posts smack of this inherent "goodness"; she seems like someone we'd all be lucky to have as a friend, very kind and with a great desire to help others [:D]

Bearlee - Quite possibly the next sweetest member I've seen in the proudsub leage of sweetness.  She seems to have such a positive and untainted view of life and relationships, something I wish I still had instead of letting my cynical side win out [:D]

That's all I have for now.  Hopefully other will join in, it could do some good for the atmosphere [:D]

Kedikat -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 2:19:31 AM)

Lots and lots of people who post. Those that I agree and disagree with. So many post interesting opinions and information. Interesting questions.
Lots of posts that I never reply to, but still find interesting.

Positive? Only the most venal ignorant posts have nothing positive. And even then......they reveal information........

What is positive? Will the OP judge? hehe.....is appeal of judgement negative? An interesting self contained world of right and wrong here :) So full of logical pitfalls.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 2:36:54 AM)

Tisktisktisk, don't think too much lol

I'll try and word it better later on, maybe that'll help?  Or just the general concept isn't working?

I'd assumed this'd be easy...might need some re-tooling [:-]

hehe. Sorry. The intent is great. But it did pique thoughts of what is and isn't positive. Eye of the beholder and all that.
Which is positive :) Makes ya think. So.......a positive post, with qualifiers. I just can't find a really cool pair of rose colored shades :)

RavenMuse -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 3:08:06 AM)

There are a great many folks on these boards worth oodles of positive comments....
However there are two sweet, loving, caring, bright, witty young ladys that I would particularly like to give reason to smile again (They know the reasons why)

Mistress Hathor and Mistress of Ga

You both give so much to others, heres hoping life repays you by giving you ample reasons to smile again in the VERY near future. Two very special ladys indeed![:)]

pahunkboy -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 4:22:32 AM)

I positively need some--- sooon.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 4:45:24 AM)

Hmm, ok well by my own judgement, anything can be positive so long as it isn't put in this way:

"I think [username here] is a positive force on these boards, their utter stupidity shines as a beacon to us all on what to avoid being in life in order to be a worthwhile human being."

As long as it's not on *that* vein, then I'm going to back it up as being a positive comment.  How's that? lol [:D][:D]

So far so good, this wasn't what I was after, but was still funny, so...I'll take it lol "I positively need some--- sooon."  Nice work [:D]

pahunkboy -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 4:59:52 AM)

...[sorry] I feel abit playfull.

Your point isnt totally lost. It is easy to get carried away with minor complaints. Ild  consider myself quite blessed to wake up, with a roof over my head, and no real worries. I take that for granted. Yes- I bitch and moan. But the fact that I am even online- paints me as very blessed.

Thats how I feel.

I'm taking my slave to hobbycraft and buying her some stuff for her crosstitching things lol, costs me a fortune, but it keeps her quiet, and thats a positive thing.

I give cin (Vancouver_cinful) a gold star-- she's bright, good-natured, and comes off as one of the site's more positive members.

IronBear -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 5:49:04 AM)

It would be easier to like the people who I just instinctively don't like (Their cyber presence that is as I don't know the corpreal person at all). There are a number of ladies who I like and with some even adore. There are even more who I dont have much contact with byt have a great deal of respect for. There are many blokes here who given the chance to travel and meet, I'm pretty darned sure would become firm friends, for the foundations have been set here in the forums.. Others I don't know as mucch but ihave a great deal of respect for.... Naturally there are quite a few who I am neutral about..

wandersalone -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 11:06:59 AM)

I consider myself new to the forums so do not have any particular people to single out for the great posts, information and thoughts that they bring to each topic.  What I will say is that I like hearing the differing opinions and learning about people through what they write in the forums. I must say that I do appreciate the people who take the time to provide links to other threads and websites so that I can read more on different topics..... oh, and I love topics such as this one which encourage and rejoice in the good stuff (like the thread on feeling beautiful which was a few weeks ago I think)

That was sweet, and very true, thanks for adding that.  Hopefully someone having an off day will read that and it will give them a better way to think of things [:D]

I tried to add this part early this morning, but either my own PC or the forum was ont he fritz and I couldn't login to this side of the site.

Kedikat - I'm almost positive it was you who redirected me in another thread, and you've done so here also, pointing out something I hadn't thought of until you put it out there.  I appreciate the way you use a gentle and kind guidance rather than an agressive attack of some sort when you're posting your opinion on how to make something better or offer a correction.  It reflects well on your character as a whole [:D]

IronBear - Here's one of the members I had in mind when I made this topic, knowing if it got off the ground my memory would be triggered seeing various usernames.  I haven't seen all too many posts by you, but the ones I have seen have left me with the impression that you're a good man who is often willing to help with someone struggling with a question/conflict and is looking for perspective.  Your posts are often very caring and appear to be written with effort to bring up points to ponder for the one looking for answers.  You also do really well with presenting your own feeling in a way that doesn't make the others reading feel judged, which is great to see.  The humor you slide in is also quite nice [:D]

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 11:29:43 AM)

Oops, forgot to add of course, thank you to all who joined in, appreciate it [:D]

IronBear -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 11:43:02 AM)

Thankee for your kind comments lass.. I'm thankfull I cant webcam because you'd see a Grizzly blushing deeply........ [sm=tongue.gif]  I have to be honest here though, I have in the past really let rip usually when some one has offended me, attacked something I believe in in a crass manner or attacked some one who I admire. I simply decised that I was not being very chivilrous and lowering myself to a lowwer standard than the person I had cut and fitted a new arsehole to.. Y'know I leave the computer feeling more happy these days.......

juliaoceania -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 11:48:56 AM)

This is easy, Irishbynature is my best friend and 10 times the sweetheart I am. She is smart and beautiful and kind and giving and liberal and generous. She was my best buddy before we discovered our submissiveness and she has been with me on my journey as I have been on hers. Love you girl!

Well....I usually don’t participate in these types of threads, but what the hell… I’ll give some praise to the gents whose posts I often read. For me to add the ladies, would just be unfair – There’s way too many of them

LaM, Chaingang, Guage,  : I appreciate these guys for their steadfastness and  courage to stick to their guns when debating subjects which are an important part of their personal constitutions. All three are very articulate

 Merc :  I appreciate his way of taking something that can be very complicated and breaking it down so that the reader -- who’s unfamiliar with the topic at hand – understands. He should have been a teacher; I have a feeling that he is very patient.

Kenin : Calls them as he sees them and has posted some excellent information surrounding the web and computers.

Pollux : Enlightened and articulate –  Have always liked his posts.

IronBear & Level : Their friendly, jovial posts always lighten up the room.

 Cloudboy : Very articulate. There’s been many times when he’s presented an angle on a particular subject that has me saying to myself ‘’ I should have thought of that!’’

MeatCleaver : I appreciate his take and ability to understand the geo-political landscape as it applies to both the US and European fronts.

John Warren :  What can I say…. I appreciate the wisdom of someone who’s well-travled like John.

Padriag : Even though he doesn’t seem to be as active, his posts are always well-thought-out and cover all the angles.

 I'm on my way out the door to a micro brew festival and know I’ve forgotten a few. I will definitely get them on the next round.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Positive Manifestation...Experiment (6/17/2006 3:14:30 PM)

IronBear - You're most welcome, I'm honored to have made a Bear blush [:D]  The fact that you acknowlege and have corrected what you view as mistakes shows much of your character as well, so I'm pretty sure now my impression from what I've read from you so far has been accurate, good on you! [:D]

UtopianRanger - Thanks for playing along even though you said you don't usually reply to these kinds of threads, and as for forgetting or leaving some people out, it's going to happen, there's no way in one post anyone can remember *everyone*...but there's always next time.

Hope nobody wil feel forgotten or left out if they don't see their name right away, give it time [:D]

Thanks again to everyone who's replied, it's great to read everyone's posts, I'm sure it's brightening people's days too [:D]

SpankMuhButt - Have to add you here now, after the help you offered in a thread in the Health board, and for taking the extra time to search out the corset pics I'd mentioned I was looking for.  From that, and posts on various topics I've read by you, it's safe to say you're one of the great people on CM, thanks again [:D]
