I was trying to post a picture of a car I saw today. Looked like either Jag or a Porche Panamera.

It wasn't.

It was a new 4 door Tesla 415 hp all electric sedan

Turns out my little Toyota Yaris can top out at over 130 mph. It is used for street racing and "drifting" in Japan.

Must be why I am now paying nearly 2 grand a year for auto insurance.

In a related note, I cant find anything about it on the news sites, but according to a tech site, a NASA supplier has supposedly developed lithium ion batteries that would give an electric car a 800 mile range at 70mph.

I originally put this in the rumor category, but there have been some real jumps in battery technology.
