Hi there, I have tried multiple times to close my account with collarme, I click on the close account button and fill in the security check box and it loads a new page, the same one as seen when you log out, which says in red letters ''account closed''. However, despite doing this I still receive email notifications informing me I have new messages on this site and when I login with the details from the account I tried to close, it goes straight through to my profile like nothing happened.

I've tried to close it a few times now and still no luck. Does anyone have any advice?

How tragic.

Delete your profile, hide it, stop logging in. Problem solved.

You have to stay away from the account for a week. Otherwise, it will continue to show up. However, if it's still available after one week, contact support and ask them to close it for you.

I think that one has to not visit the account for at least a week after closing it. But I am not sure.

Use the search function of the site, for others have asked the same question before and got it answered.

Here is what you do.

Wipe the profile, take of any writings. Delete any journal entries, delete any photos.

Next, go to Read Mail/New Messages if its in red.... then Mail Controls, top right corner...

Uncheck "Send notification email for new messages"

Click save changes

Go back to Edit Profile

Click "Hide Profile" - that way no one can see it.

Then click "Delete Account"

Now, you have no reason to come back into the profile. No one can see it, no mail is being sent to you, and you dont have to worry about opening it back up.
